Y/N's POV

"We're coming, just hang in there, Gaara" Naruto said more so to himself, our hands still being connected as we jumped branch to branch

"We'll get him back" I said, even though, he'll have to die first

"Naruto, I know you're in a hurry, but quit breaking formation" Sakura said to Naruto

"I know, but-" Naruto was going to speak but was cut off by Kakashi

"Don't lose your cool, Master Jiraiya taught you better than that, didn't he?" Kakashi asked Naruto

Naruto looked back at Kakashi with a slight groan, wanting to get to Gaara faster but he knew Kakashi was right.

"Temari" Sakura yelled down to Temari after spotting her

We all jumped down, Temari turning around and looking us over, her eyes landing on me.

"Hey hot stuff" I said with a smile, having not seen her since I got out of jail

"Y/n?" Temari asked in disbelief, looking over my body

"In the flesh" I said with a chuckle

Temari took a step forward that turned into long strides, wrapping me in a hug that I returned without hesitation.

She has been attached to me since the moment in the forest we had where I almost died, and even after all these years, she still hasn't changed in that regard.

"Damn, missed me that much?" I asked patting her head gently

"I was so worried about you when I heard the news from Shikamaru, I honestly never thought I'd see you again" Temari said as she stepped back, looking at my body, spinning me around

"You look good, your genes have been treating you right" Temari said as she slapped my ass

Sakura, Kakashi and Naruto eyes all widened at the scene which caused me to giggle, cheeks fluttering a bit.

"Hey, that's mine" Naruto yelled at Temari

"What did you just say?" Kakashi asked Naruto

"Uh, nothing, I don't even know what you're talking about Sensei" Naruto said in panic

"Gaara was taken by the Akatsuki" Sakura suddenly out said

Temari froze, dropping my hand that she used to spin me around, I turned around worriedly.

She had her hands tight to her sides, fist clenched.

"Gaara, you mean he been-" Temari asked before her face of shock turned into a glare, turning her face to the side, having a flashback

"We're two and a half days out from the sand, we should hurry" Kakashi said to Temari

"Right" Temari said as we jumped up into the trees

I jumped next to Temari, humming to grab her attention, looking over at her.

"Mari, we'll get him back, you know that right?" I asked her

"I know that, y/n, I know that you will risk your life for just about anyone in the village, and that worries me" Temari said looking at me

"Mari, for the village and your village, I'll do anything to help, and for my people, I'll get that shit back in blood, that includes you, Gaara, and Kankuro" I said to her with a nod

She nodded back, a smirk growing on her face, I could tell she was very proud of me and for how far I've come, I'm sure she could see my growth.

But I'm far from stopping.
