Elizabeth's pov
Being in this cave for so long, I was starting to get used to the unknown of the cave itself. There were so many things we still didn't know about this cave which piqued my interest but I needed to focus on the task at hand, find a way out of this God forsaken cave. Hoseok had done a great job of being alert and keeping me out of danger, I say this because pretty early on I almost fell off the side of the cliff we had walked up and Hoseok sensed that I was in danger before Jimin and I realized it. He has been trying to stay ahead of any possible threat to me, it seemed that he wasn't the only one to do that because I noticed Jimin was doing the same. We hadn't gotten any notice that the others were in any kind of trouble but I assumed that they might be dealing with whatever lives in this cave. A cold gust blew past the three of us, causing the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. For some reason, this particular part of the cave had me concerned something was going to happen. "You okay?" Hoseok asked, noticing my tense body language. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just got a little cold is all." I said, "Are you sure that's all?" He pressed, I think it was safe to say that Hoseok knew when I was telling the truth or lying. "I'm fine, Hobi." I reassured him. "Alright... I'll believe you."
"Do you think the others have run into trouble?"
"They could have, there are too many unknowns in this cave. But I think they can handle anything thrown at them. They are all resourceful." Hoseok answered, this gave Jimin a little more reassurance. He must have been very worried about Jungkook, especially after what happened with the bridge that we had to make. I hissed, holding my wrist as I felt a sharp pain run through my body causing me to stop walking.
"Liz?" Jimin turned around, noticing that I had stopped walking. "What's wrong?" He came over as another sharp pain shot through my body, "I don't know.." Hoseok came over to the two of us and carefully grabbed my left wrist, he slid back my sleeve and Jimin and I let out audible gasps when I saw a strange symbol which gave off a pink glow.
"What is that?" Jimin asked, "I don't know.. I didn't even notice that it was there until now." I said, my eyes meeting his.
"It looks like some kind of link... I can't be too sure but I think Namjoon might recognize this symbol. Let's keep moving and see if we can find a way out of here. Once we do that we'll signal the others and meet up with them." Hoseok said, "For now, we're not going to mess with it. Not until we know what it is." He reached in his pocket, pulling out a roll of bandages. He wrapped it around the symbol on my arm, "I get the strange feeling that this might be the work of the Warlock." Jimin stated, "Yeah, I think so too. He's strong enough to cast hexes on you from a great distance. I doubt anyone else is that powerful enough to do that. Or even had the cause or do it." Hoseok agreed, "That might be the case.." I trailed off and sighed heavily as he finished wrapping my arm, "Let us know if you feel anymore pain, I think this might be some sort of body link between you and the warlock."
"I will," I gave Hoseok a light smile, "Let's keep going, we need a way out of this cave." Jimin and Hoseok nodded in agreement and three of us were once again underway. As we got further and further into the cave, I had a bad feeling form in the pit of my stomach. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up when I heard something, it seemed that I wasn't the only one aware of the danger that might be heading towards us. I saw Hoseok visibly tense up and become more alert, which Jimin noticed right off the bat.
Just as Jimin took a step forward, something crashed through the wall to the right of us. Hoseok threw up a barrier, protecting the three of us from debris as we were thrown back off of our feet. I let out a cough, groaning in pain as I rolled onto my side.
"Liz?!"
"I'm okay!" I called, sitting up. Hoseok and Jimin came over to me, helping me stand on my feet.
"What the hell was that?"
"I have no idea." We looked forward as the cloud of rocks and debris dissipated, the more it did, I could make out two figures on the ground ahead of us.
"Jesus, Joon. You nearly killed us both with your barrier ball, it sent us through a wall." I relaxed when we heard a familiar voice ring out. When the clouds finally dissipated, the three of us stood in relief as Namjoon and Yoongi appeared, unharmed.
"Sorry about that, hyung." Namjoon apologized, brushing his hair off with his hand. "I wasn't expecting him to kick the barrier ball with that muvh strength."
"Yeah, well you should have anticipated that. He was obviously not in his right mind." Yoongi snapped, brushing off his clothes.
"Yoongi! Namjoon!" I called, both young men lifted their heads and looked at the three of us in relief as we walked over to them.
"What are you three doing here?" Yoongi asked, "What do you mean? We should be asking you two that." Jimin retorted, "You crashed through the wall of our path." I stated.
"We did?"
"Yeah, you did."
"Oh.."
"Anyways, what happened? Why did you two crash through the wall?" Hoseok asked.
"Because we came across another lunatic." Yoongi answered, "By lunatic, do you mean another supernatural creature who lives here?"
"Yes," Namjoon nodded. "He started fighting us because we crossed some sort of threshold and he went ballistic when we continued down our path." He explained, "So Namjoon put up a barrier ball and he kicked it so hard, you two crashed through the wall?" Hoseok asked for clarification, "Yes. Now can we stop with all the questions?" Yoongi complained.
"You just asked a question, though." Jimin pointed out.
Yoongi shot him a dirty look, making me chuckle. "What?" Jimin asked, looking innocent.
"YOU-" I heard a shout, making me look through the hole that they made in the wall. My eyes widened when I saw someone flying at us at top speed, "YOU DARE BRING MORE?!!"
"Uh, guys... Whose that?" I asked. I got a good look at him, he was very handsome but there was something off about him and he had wings like Taehyung and Suho.
"Shit." Yoongi cursed, "Look out!" He tackled me to the floor, shoving Jimin down with us as Hoseok and Namjoon put up a barrier. The figure flying at us increased his speed, "Shit, he's going to crash through the barrier!" Yoongi shouted, looking up. Both Namjoon and Hoseok ducked as he came crashing through the barrier, shattering it and crashed through the wall behind us.
"MORE CREATURES?!!" He shouted, the five of us looked through the hole he created and watched as he barreled past three people.
"What the fuck?!" I heard a familiar voice, when I got a good look at the two figures standing tall, I let out a heavy sigh of relief.
"Jin? Jungkook? Tae?" Jimin called, looking relieved that his brother was alright. The three looked back through the hole, Jungkook smiling as Yoongi and I sat up. Taehyung looked relieved, Jin looked both relieved and happy to see us. "What in the fuck was that thing?" Taehyung asked, motioning towards the figure flying behind them. Yoongi stood to his feet, helping me to my feet as Hoseok helped Jimin to his. The three walked over to the five of us, "Some deranged lunatic." Yoongi answered. "Yeah, he kicked these two through that wall which is on our path." Jimin explained, "Really?" Jin looked at Namjoon and Yoongi in shock, "Yeah," Namjoon nodded. "Uh guys, he's coming back." Taehyung alerted, looking back at us.
"Shit."
