Elizabeth's pov

I let out a sigh, pushing my hair back into a ponytail as I trekked through the forest. This forest was called the Pxysi Forest, according to the townspeople, there were special magical beings who lived within the vast forest. I didn't know too much about them, only things that I have heard from the townspeople or have read in books about them. These magical beings were Elves, Fairies, Nymphs, Vampires, Werewolves, Wizards, Witches, Warlocks and much more than you can imagine. To me, it struck me as odd that so many people were invested in romance stories between vampires and humans or werewolves and humans, after all, both were deadly supernatural creatures. But it seemed people just loved writing about the love that could possibly form between the magical beings and humans. I mean, it wasn't totally unheard of in this world. The forest itself is extremely breathtaking, I had never really traveled deep through the woods. Damian was very adamant about me coming through here, especially because it was filled with dangerous things. Even when we were little, Damian always kept watch over me to make sure that I never wandered in here and got lost. However, that didn't work as one time I managed to slip away from him. And let's say that was the worse decision, I had ever made in my life though, I did at some point meet a young male vampire who kept me company until Damian found me. I was only a day into my journey, yesterday, I had left the house early before Baekhyun could wake up. By the time noon started rolling around, I was getting tired as I had been walking for five and half hours, so I found a place to stop. With nightfall quickly approaching, I found myself setting up camp in a tree cove. When I woke up the next morning, I knew that I needed to be cautious about who I came across during my trek. I had heard from many people in town to watch out for vampires, fairies, werewolves and even elves or nymphs. Apparently, Elves could not be trusted due to the fact that they always lied and always stole from you. Now, my journey was going to be a long one. It was a good thing that I had packed so much food and clothing, it should last me a while before I have to go into a town to replenish my supplies. I had been walking for what like seems three hours now, the sun was high up and it definitely was really hot out today. Even though I had my guard up, I wasn't expecting to be followed by something which was hiding in the shadows. I wiped my brow, pushing back my long hair from my face and enjoyed listening to the bird chirping, singing a beautiful melody. And even though I felt okay, deep down I was scared and worried about Damian's wellbeing. I clenched my fist, hating the warlock more and more with each passing minute I walked down the narrow path. It wasn't fair that he decided to steal him, it wasn't fair that he hated us because he had some kind of grudge with our parents. They didn't do anything but show kindness to him and what did he do? He did something so vile that I ended up losing them both, leaving Damian and I to fend for ourselves. Thank god, we had Baekhyun for a neighbor. His parents took to us, making sure we had food, running water and clothing. Anyways, I kept to the trial making sure that I was going the right path. I felt nervous about being out here with nobody to back me up if I got into trouble, but I had confidence in the skills that I had learned from Baekhyun. He's a great teacher and he really knows how to push someone to their limits.

I listened to the sounds around me as I walked down the small path, I heard rustling. I looked up from the map in my hands, stopping in my tracks and looked around. Gripping the paper map in my hand tightly, I took a deep breath and looked around once more not seeing a bush or tree shake.

"Phew... Hopefully it was just a squirrel-" I heard the rustling again, but it came from directly to my left. I panicked, rolling up the map quickly and shoved it in my bag. The rustling got louder as I turned my head to the left, hearing a loud growl come from behind it. Chills went down my spine, panic overtaking my brain as I heard more growling. Just as I went to take a step, something came out of the bushes and came behind me. My body shook heavily as I heard the low growls, the hairs on the back of my neck rising. The growling never ceased, in fact, it became so much more aggressive and loud. My heart pounded in my chest, making me feel even more alert and fearful if whatever was behind me. I could hear the animal shifting its weight, hoping that I stayed where I was.

Don't turn around. Don't turn around. Just don't do it. We all know how people in the woods get eaten. They die by wolves or large bugs and other animals living in the forest. Don't turn around, Liz.

Of course, me being my stupid, idiotic self, decided to do the exact opposite of what my brain was telling me not to do. My hands became clammy, a bead of sweat dripping down the side of my temple. I moved slightly, nearly jumping when it let out a warning growl. I ignored the voice in my head, turning my head slowly so I could see what it was. My eyes became as wide as dinner plates as they landed on a large gray wolf, its yellow eyes staring me down and its teeth bared, the lips curled back into a snarl. From the body language, I could tell that this thing wanted to have me for breakfast and I didn't want that.

Oh great, now, I'll be eaten by a large wolf. All because it wanted me for breakfast. Damn you, Damian for getting kidnapped. It should have been me. Now, I'm gonna die before I can even get anywhere near his hideout. Thanks a lot, Damian!!

"Why do you wanna eat a human like me? I taste really horrible. And I'm small. You wouldn't be able to get full off of me." I said quickly, turning my body towards the wolf. It glared at me as I held up my hands in mock surrender, "Please, Mr. Wolfie sir... I really won't be very filling and I'm not delicious." The wolf bent down, getting ready to pounce and I panicked. Without thinking ahead, I turned my head back around not wanting to face that thing any longer. My adrenaline kicked, a cold sweat running down my body and I knew this was going to happen. I took one small baby step, causing the wolf to growl and I knew it was ready to eat me. So, I did what I thought was best and took off down the pathway as fast as I could.

Shit. Shit.. Shit.. This thing is really motivated to eat me. Don't stop running.
