3rd person's POV
Elizabeth shifted in her sleep, everyone blissfully unaware of the lurking danger that was heading towards their sleeping area. The fire that Yoongi had built was still going strong, keeping everyone warm as the temperature had drastically dropped over the course of the night. Taehyung had stayed up for the first watch and hadn't minded as he wasn't all that tired. It gave him time to think about everything that had taken place within the last week he's met all seven of these travelers. He still didn't quite understand why Elizabeth was traveling with so many supernatural creatures but he realized that everything that they had already been through, strengthened that bond that they built with one another in the first place. Even Namjoon seemed to admire the young woman, who he had barely gotten time to know. Taehyung noticed that without even realizing it, Elizabeth shifted closer to Jimin as she slept and Jimin unconsciously had done the same. Both of them seeking comfort and warmth, Taehyung realized just how strong their bond was as he watched the two of them. His eyes shifted to Jungkook, who had unconsciously rolled closer to Elizabeth and Jimin. It seemed that it was Jungkook's way of protecting both of them and for some reason, he envied the relationship between Jimin and Elizabeth. He wanted that. He wanted be close with someone like Jimin is with Elizabeth and in a way, he wanted to have the possibility of being involved romantically with someone. He heard a noise echo in a different part of the cave, the sound making his ears ache slightly. This only made him more alert, he never knew he would be someone who wanted to so badly protect those he traveled with or those he found himself in the presence of. He thought back to when he first was cast out of his town, there was only one person who cared for him though, he was young at the time and that one person was Namjoon. He had stumbled upon him in the woods one day and befriended him, though Taehyung wasn't too keen on him at first. Namjoon was the one who seemed to very much understand Taehyung, and once he became friends with him, Taehyung started to learn to care for others. He shifted his eyes to Namjoon, who was sleeping on the other side of Yoongi. The Wizard had a book laying on his stomach and his head rested on Yoongi's stomach, Taehyung slightly smiled as he was amused by the fact that Namjoon was using Yoongi as a pillow. His smile faded when he heard a distant screech echo from the back of the cave, he turned his head to the opening of the cave behind the Awianleye Tree, hoping that nothing suddenly jumped out at them. As another screech echoed, Elizabeth woke up with a sudden start. Taehyung turned his head towards Elizabeth, who was slightly sweating and looked terrified from whatever had woken her up.
"Liz.." Taehyung said, his voice coming out softer than usual. Elizabeth looked up at Taehyung, feeling some sense of safety that the Fallen Angel had been awake. "Had a nightmare?" She thought Taehyung would laugh if she revealed to him that she in fact did have one, but the look in his eyes proved her wrong. "Yeah.. I did.." She trailed, "Do you want to talk about it?" He asked, "No.. I just.. I just want to forget about it." She shook her head and rubbed her face with her hands.
"Go back to sleep. Everything is fine. I'm keeping watch." Taehyung suggested, "Are you sure?" She prompted.
"Yeah, I'll be fine. Besides, I'm enjoying the peace and quiet.. And the view of the tree." Taehyung said.
"Yeah, the tree is beautiful." She said, sighing softly. Her green eyes trained on the glowing tree, which reflected off the water's surface. "I wish the trees back home were like this. I think it would have done everyone some good to have such a beautiful and peaceful looking tree back home." Taehyung looked away from the tree, his eyes landing on Elizabeth. The look in her eyes suggested sadness and longing, "Do you miss your home?" Taehyung asked, "I do.. I miss going into the town every morning to pick up freshly baked pastries from our resident baker. I miss a lot of things.. But most of all," She stared at the tree, her heart filling with sadness. "I miss my best friends Baekhyun and Sehun.. Sehun went on a trip just before we were attacked by the golem." She explained.
