Elizabeth's pov
We left early in the morning, saying our last goodbyes to Taehyun, Yeonjun and Beomgyu. All three had agreed to watch over Namjoon's mansion and Monie, as well as help get the town back in order and onto its feet. "Can I ask a big favor from you?" I pulled Taehyun aside from the group just before we left, "Sure. What can I do for you?" He asked, he seemed very open to the idea of helping me. "I have some letters that I would like to be delivered back home and they're addressed to someone in particular. I need you if possible to deliver these to this address as soon as you can. You don't have to deliver this personally. But if you could just do this for me, it would mean a lot." I handed him the letters, "I would be honored to deliver these for you." Taehyun took the letters from me, placing them in the brown leather satchel on his shoulder. "Thank you so much, Taehyun." I hugged him, I didn't notice the look that I was getting from Taehyung and the others. He hugged me back, seeming to ignore the others. "It's no problem. Stay safe and I wish you all the luck in the world to being able to fight this warlock and get your brother back." Taehyun pulled back from the hug to look down at me, he stood the same height as Taehyung and Hoseok. Both Beomgyu and Yeonjun were also taller than me, "Thank you so much. And I wish you all the luck with finding the rest of the towns people and getting everything back to normal." I smiled, "Thank you." He gave me a smile right back, I didn't get to know Taehyun that well but I could tell that he was a good guy and so was Yeonjun and Beomgyu.
I stepped away from him and turned to Beomgyu and Yeonjun, giving them a nod. "Hey, I'm sorry about the other day.. I didn't mean to down play what you've been through." Yeonjun apologized, "It's okay. There's no harm done." I shook my head, Yeonjun reached down into his pocket and pulled out a small golden pin which had the symbol of a wolf on it. "I, uh.. This pin has been in my family for generations, passed on from father to son, brother to brother, and so on.. I never got anywhere without it. It's something that my ancestors imbued with magic, intended to keep the bearer of the pin safe." He explained, fiddling with the pin.
"Is it like a good luck charm?" I looked up at him.
"Yeah," He slightly chuckled, shaking his head. "You could say that. It's done right by me for the last few months." He took a moment and fiddled with it, taking a deep breath. He then grabbed my hand gently and placed the pin on my palm, closing my fingers around it. "I want you to take this with you on your journey." I looked up at him in confusion and shock, "No, I can't possibly-" I shook my head, "No.. Take it." He insisted, "I don't need it as much as I did the last few years.. You, on the other hand, you need all the luck and help you can get to your brother back. This pin will keep you grounded in your time of doubt. And whenever you are in trouble.. All you have to do is believe in its magic and it will protect you." He smiled, "And who knows? Maybe it'll bring me and my brother to you." He wrapped an arm around Beomgyu, who smiled at me. "I honestly don't know what to say.. But.. Thank you." I knew that I would have to accept the pin, otherwise, Yeonjun would keep insisting and possibly even give it to Hoseok. "It's no problem." He nodded, a light smile adorning his handsome face. "Elizabeth, let's go!" I heard Yoongi call for me, I slipped the pin in my pocket and smiled at the two. "Good luck, you guys." I waved, "Yeah, you too." Beomgyu called, waving back as I caught up with Jimin and Hoseok. Namjoon gave them one last salute before we exited the mansion grounds and headed back down the path the boys took when they first arrived here. It didn't take long for us to get out Dawnspire's boundaries and enter Wayver Woods, for some reason, I knew that this time we would be having more difficulty trekking through the woods than the first time. Taehyung seemed to be in a much better mood than he was yesterday and I say this, because he won't stop teasing Hoseok and Jimin for some reason, Yoongi paid no mind to the three of them. There was something that still plagued my mind and that was, my brother Damian. I had a feeling that something happened to him and it had me scared but I didn't want to show that or let anyone know, they have already seen me at my weakest and I don't want to be seen as someone who is fragile. A few hours passed and we had yet to take a break but by this time, my stomach was calling for something to eat. I dug around in my bag, pulling out a packet of special blueberries that had been given to me for a snack. I had stocked up on snacks just before I went to bed, Beomgyu had helped me pick out things that the others could eat as well.
"I have a question.." Jimin started., ignoring Taehyung and Hoseok's bickering.
"What?" I looked at him, popping a blueberry into my mouth. "One, where did you get those berries from? And two, why did you hug Taehyun? You don't know him that well." Jimin continued, looking at the packet of berries in my hand.
"Oh, these? Beomgyu gave them to me. He said that they would make me feel good."
Everyone stopped walking and turned their heads to me as I popped three more berries in my mouth, feeling awkward with how everyone was staring right at me. I chewed the berries I had in my mouth and swallowed them before digging in the packet for more. "Umm... Is there a problem?" I asked, popping another berry into my mouth. "You said Beomgyu gave you those?" Yoongi asked, "Yes." I ate four more berries.
"And he said they'll make you feel good?" Jungkook asked.
"Yes."
Hoseok immediately snatched the small packet from my hand, I only had a small handful left. "Hey! Hoseok, what's the big idea?! If you wanted some you could have just asked!" I reached for the packet but Hoseok held them away from me, it was as if he was worried about something. Jin stuck his hand in the packet, pulling out a blueberry and examined it. He chucked it away with ease, making me gape at him for wasting a perfectly good berry. "These berries.." He started, he handed the map to Namjoon who stood quiet and stepped forward. "They aren't normal." Yoongi took the packet from Hoseok, dumping the three that were left into his right hand. "Hey!!! You're wasting my berries!" I whined, my stomach growling loudly as I stepped forward to take some out of his hand. I let out a whine, a tingling sensation running through my body as I pouted and crossed my arms. Yoongi took a step back, holding his hand away from me and examined the berries. His eyes widened as he counted how many were left, before looking up at me.
"What?"
"How many did you eat?" He asked.
"What?"
"I asked how many berries did you eat, Elizabeth?" Yoongi asked again.
"I don't know.. Beomgyu said that there were 16 in the pack.. And I ate at least 12 of them and then Jin wasted one.." I trailed off, "Shit." Yoongi cursed, "What's the matter?" Jimin asked, "These berries like Yoongi said are not normal.. If she ate that many then she's bound to fall to the effects of them in less than a minute." Namjoon spoke up, "What effects?" Taehyung asked, looking confused. "I'll explain it to you later, Tae." Namjoon whispered, Taehyung nodded in response and looked over at Elizabeth. "Liz, are you feeling okay?" Hoseok asked, he grabbed me by my shoulders. "Yes, I'm fine. Other than feeling hungry cause you all have wasted my remaining berries." I patted Hoseok on the arms, removing them from my shoulders. "Oh well, I have more if that counts." I pulled another packet from my pocket but it was immediately snatched out of my hands by Yoongi, "Hey!! What is with you guys?!" I watched in awe as he chucked the packet of blueberries far away, the packet possibly landing in a bush or something.
"Yoongi?!!" He turned to me, "What?" I stared at him in disbelief over the fact that he is acting like he didn't just chuck my snack more than fifty miles away, "You just chucked my blueberries! Are you going to explain why?!" I crossed my arms, "No. All I have to say is don't eat anything those damn wolves gave you." He shrugged and ruffled his silver hair, taking the map from Namjoon. I scoffed as he walked away, leading the group away from the opening that we had been stopped at.
"Stupid Dragon." I grumbled, following after everyone.
"I heard that." Yoongi called.
"You were supposed to." Jimin and Jungkook lightly chuckled, while Yoongi just shook his head. "Ah, whatever.."
