Elizabeth's pov
Crunching of the leaves could be heard from miles away, the wind blowing harshly as it blew my hair back. All I could think of at the moment was getting away from that damn thing, and let me say that it was not easy running from a full grown wolf. I was terrified out of my mind, silently cursing myself for not going with my Dad on his camping trips when he was still alive. I should have gone with him when I had the chance, maybe then I would know what to do in a situation like this. Of course, Damian knows how to handle this, leave it up to the sibling who got kidnapped to know how handle something like this, not to be here. I let out a frustrated groan, veering off from the path and took off. I could hear the wolf was still following me and with each passing minute, I could hear just how fast it was catching up with me. Of course, me being me, I tripped over a branch that I didn't see and fell down. I quickly got back up onto my feet but found myself cornered, stuck between the wolf and the tree. This is not good. Not good at all. "Seriously!! Leave me alone!! I'm not food, so go away!!" I shouted, but the wolf didn't budge. This made me more nervous as it started stalking closer to me, but before it could, a large arrow embedded itself in the grass in between the wolf and I. The wolf growled, jumping back as it looked where the arrow came from. Before it took another step, another arrow pierced the grass next to its paw, causing the wolf to scamper off. I heard rustling in the bushes, making me look to my right where the arrows had come from.
"My goodness. Are you alright?" A soft voice called out, making shivers run up and down my spine. I turned my head, looking up in slight awe as a young man with a bow and arrow came out of the bushes. He was tall, most likely taller than me. He had a lean, well built body and muscles. He was wearing black pants, a short-sleeved, white buttoned up shirt and brown boots. My eyes trailed up to his face, my breath being taken away as I drank in his looks. He has an oval baby-shaped face, fair, smooth tan skin, wide cheekbones, a narrow chin, beautiful plumb lips and short orange hair. His eyes were almond-shaped with monolids and it suits him really well. From his jawline to his chin, to the inner corner of his eye, and his beautiful cheekbones, it makes a perfect rhombus. He was very handsome, I couldn't bring myself to look away from him. Jeez, I didn't know such handsome men like him existed. He would give Baekhyun a run for his money, I bet he is popular with the girls as well.
Get a hold of yourself, Elizabeth. Now is not the time to fawn over how hot this guy is.
"Yes, I am." I said, finally finding my voice. "Thank you," A blush slightly tinted my cheeks, as he continued to look at me. His eyes were soft, his facial features showing that he was both cautious but concerned.
"It's no problem. I was happy to help. But I have to say, letting yourself get trapped by a wolf was very stupid."
"I know that," I scoffed.
"Obviously not." He retorted, making me glare at him. Did he seriously just take me for an idiot? "So what are you doing way out in the woods like this in the middle of the morning, huh? Normally most human women I've seen never come alone in the woods." He said, making me wonder what he meant by what he just said.
Wait.. Is he not human? Shit...
"You say that as if you aren't human."
"That's because I'm not." He said, "What? But you totally look human!! If you're not human, then what are you?!!" Before he could say anything, I started rambling like I always do when I was nervous or frightened. "Oh my god!! You probably are a werewolf!! Or something else that could possibly eat me!! You probably want to skin me alive!!! I'm begging you, please have mercy on me!!"
"Look, I'm not going to-"
"I'm just a girl trying to find her big brother!! I don't want to die this young!"
