Screamer

Being terrified in a situation like these freaks me out more. When the others are getting trampled too it makes it worse. A part of me wants to run away but I know that's not an option and the only other thing to do is help. I've only had my powers for a little bit of time and still don't know how to control them or use them even. I wanted them to get off of my teammates but wasn't sure what to do. They weren't even paying too much attention to me in the first place. Something had to be done, they'll die, I yelled. It felt like the only thing to do but I was yelling "stop", instead an array of golden lines came out. Lighter than the gold on my suit but they resembled a grid, it trailed from my mouth all the way to the prisoners. The group of prisoners was forced off of Stargazer; causing them to flail around on the floor. Then onto Summoner before helping Fire-Soul, each pile dispersing. A few more tried to rush me and I did the same, it wasn't hurting my throat either. Normally when you yell a lot it goes dry, but I didn't experience that, just shortness of breath. Resting for a second the others were able to get up. Regaining free range, they finished off the prisoners that attempted another attack. I got two of them and Summoner threw one into the other. Fire-Soul kicked one away while Stargazer punched a guy in the gut causing him to fall. Each of them took on another four persons while I had two that tried to get me. Placing my hands out to stop them in close range my shout was different. A circular grid flashed themselves at the prisoners one by one and they were thrown backwards. Maybe there was more to my powers, I'll have to figure it out later though. When the last guy landed from my attack, I looked at the others who were finished. The hall was cleared, and we could continue, 7 was right there. Entering, Stargazer brought up "her highness" again so we started searching the cells. Halfway into the hallway Summoner stood right before one of the entrances. The three of us exchanged looks of confusion since he didn't say anything, but this might be the one. After heading over, we all looked into the room, a lady sat there sharing the same look. "Go on", he said while Fire-Soul mentioned she saw the others in the hallway next to us.

Leaving Summoner behind we entered where the rest of our team was waiting. It felt weird, or kind of wrong to just leave him there. Fire-Soul took a second, but I still followed the others. We all shared "heys" as we reached on another and got down to business. They told us about the hallways and how this indicated a hidden one, or one that isn't supposed to exist. Then we talked about the woman in the cell that Summoner stayed at. While talking Fire-Soul finally joined us and included herself as if she was there the whole time. After we caught up it was time to be the real Omega Legion. We had the time since the guards were nowhere to be seen or heard. I'd also assume the prisoners were mostly locked back up or rendered unconscious. Continuing to help search for the entrance we turned up empty, then Vortex brought up we might need to search the other hall 8. "What do you mean?", asked stargazer, "the guy I spoke to told me the woman was before hall 8." Something was getting confusing, then she said, "well this shows two halls labeled as 8". "Then now we know how they hid it all these years physically", vortex said back, now looking at the walls. "If there's one physical eighth hallway but the plans say there are two then this has to be the oversight", she added again. Walking forward a little Hummingbird cut the realization in half by announcing that we had company. There were guards coming on both sides of us in groups of maybe twenty on each side. As they opened the doors to invite themselves in, the guns were clicking and powering up. Taking aim, we were stuck in what now felt like a smaller hallway than when we entered. Looking back just to see, I couldn't see Summoner anymore; we were on our own.

Nobody said a word, but it was understood that we had to fight our way out of this one. There was no first move made honestly either, Phaser told us that we were going to use what we did in training. That was enough for me, it meant that I was going to be on offense but at the end. I was really only put at the end because my powers sort of come and go. They're still hard to control but they seemed to work back there and hopefully they continue. Hummingbird shrunk herself and that's what set off one of the guards. A trigger was pulled, maybe from that, but also, they could have actually made the first move. Fire-Soul melted it before causing damage and her flames ignited. The outfit she deemed ugly burned itself off to reveal her hero suit. "Go!", Phaser commanded, and we did just that, the attack began. Bullets started showering us, but Phaser and Vortex created small ripples to engulf them. Fire-Soul and I ran to each front and began physical assault. Stargazer helped me since Fire-Soul could handle herself. Kicking and throwing guns upward to pull them out of their hands. Disarming was a bit harder since I'd never done it, but I pushed myself. Hummingbird was flying around for a minute following the paths of the bullets. When she reached the back of the other side of guards she grew and started her attack. Phaser told Vortex to take point and he made a larger ripple and walked through. He ended up on the opposite side of guards than Hummingbird was at. We were starting to break up them up, a handful were knocked out. A few of them decided to fight back as well and it didn't end well. Fire-Soul melted a few guns and caused a few others to misfire, flares busted through them burning the holder. Hummingbird switched from small to normal height and executed fight maneuvers. Stargazer created balls of light that flew around to flash in the eyes of the guards. It blinded them for a minute to get a couple of hits in. Phaser was now creating small portals to absorb the guards he was fighting and cause them to disappear. The gunfire finally ended since everyone was now fully occupied in combat. This means we've knocked out quite the number of guards so it's helping. Wishful thinking and speaking too soon ruined the headway, several more guards came into the hallway adding back to what we already took care of. Even Vortex was now in hand-to-hand with three of them, I looked over at Phaser. Giving him a look really quick he just so happened to look over as I nodded to him. Dodging a swing at my face and turning around to land a punch in the gut I heard him shout "do it!". Following up with two more punches to finish off the guard still in front of me he hit the ground with dead weight. I inhaled in a good bit and could see the others turning away to cover their ears. Unleashing a full powered scream, the golden rays hit the wall and bounced off. They then hit the wall behind me and continued to reverberate until the entire hallway was filled with sound.
