The protests instantly started however, Y/n simply ignored them and coddled Kuna.

"Y/n-san it isn't safe for you to be here, I'm sure leader would understand if you went back," Tanjiro suggested.

Y/n could feel Kyojuro's gaze on her and she tried to ignore it.

"Are you telling me to jump out of a moving train? Is this your way of telling me to go die?" Y/n knew Tanjiro didn't have it in him but it was funny to tease him.

"I don't want nee-chan to die!"

Kuna hugged her around the waist tightly and rubbed his face on her clothes.

"It's okay Kuna, your nee-chan ain't dying anytime soon." She patted his head and reassured him.

"What! No, you misunderstood."

Tanjiro was quite obviously panicking at this point and Y/n felt sorry for him. She hurriedly waved him off and chuckled.

"I was just joking, I don't think you even have it in you to tell a random person to just go die. Anyways, I'm sure I interrupted some talk about sick fathers and swords and whatnot?"

Y/n looked at the Kyojuro and Tanjiro meaningfully. Tanjiro had a look of surprise on his face. He was indeed about to question the Flame Hashira about the HinoKami Kagura but how did she know that?

"You're probably thinking 'how did she know that?' And that is exactly why I'm joining you people on this mission. I know things that have not happened yet. Rest assured, I don't make it a habit to check things that are private to you. You can continue your conversation."

Y/n could tell that her reveal made Tanjiro a bit uncomfortable. She lied through her teeth about her so-called "powers' once more. Understanding what the look on Tanjiro's face meant she assured him.

"No, I can't read minds, I just see a tad bit into the future."

Y/n brought her pointer finger and thumb together in a pinch-like motion and left about an inch of space between them. She could tell it was still worrying Tanjiro and he seemed to want to ask her something but she ignored the question in his eyes and gestured for them to continue their conversation. She only listened back in after hearing Kyojuro ask Tanjiro to be his Tsuguko. Her eyes dimmed and she couldn't help but mutter.

"I feel sorry for you, I really do but I won't stop the course of the plot. What would I do if I trigger a huge ass butterfly effect? I'd be completely useless and would probably die."

Y/n was unaware that Zenitsu had heard her and was now wondering if the pretty lady was a witch who was casting a spell. After Kyojuro finished his speech on the history of flame breathing, he dropped a bomb on them that there was a demon on the train. Zenitsu was the first to stop his action of trying to pull Inosuke from out the window and back into the train.

"There's a demon?!"

Kyojuro explained the severity of the situation to the Kamaboko squad and as Zenitsu freaked out, the conductor walked around asking for the train tickets. As he punched the demon slayer's tickets, Y/n dug through her pocket and found a fake that she had painstakingly made after knowing she would be going with them on their mission. She breathed a sigh of relief when the conductor punched the ticket and didn't seem to find anything weird.

"Kuna give the nice man your ticket."

She didn't make one for him because she didn't want him to accidentally give them away when everyone else fell asleep.

"Here!"

The boy cheerfully raised the ticket to give to the conductor and thanked him when he got it back. As if on cue, the lights started flickering. The conductor thanked them for their cooperation and Y/n couldn't help but comment on his face.

"Bro looks like them depressed millennials."

Not missing a beat, Kyojuro stood up and told the conductor to take a step back. The lights flickered and turned off causing Kuna to jump on her and wrap his arms around her neck. She patted his back and hid his face as the lights turned back on and a demon was now standing at the compartment door.

Y/n clapped her hands as Kyojuro unsheathed his katana and started a speech, his hair seemed to float around him.

"So inspiring!"

As a person from an alternate universe where demon slayers were just characters in a story, Y/n knew this scene was where Kyojuro had flames surrounding him just from his passion.

"Getting burned by imaginary fire requires you to be hella senile not gonna lie." Y/n commented while shaking her hand and blowing on her fingers.

"I wonder if could drown in imaginary water too. Tanjiro wanna try one of your breathing styles so we can find out?"

She smiled at the older Kamado and repositioned her hand to hold Kuna tightly against her so he didn't have to see the ugly thing.

Tanjiro sweatdropped and insisted that she take the situation at hand seriously.

If I was supposed to make a Discord server where y'all could give me your ideas for books or whatnot would you join it?

Btw I feel like I can start using the manga instead of the anime lol. I was avoiding using the manga so I didn't spoil anime only watchers but idk the anime has reached pretty far in. Do y'all prefer this schedule of:

A. Waiting on anime releases

or

B. Using the manga

Note to future self don't use c.ai while writing and half asleep 😭
