"You look more comfortable like that."

A deep, familiar voice reached my ears.

I turned around.

Jeon Jungkook.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

Instead of answering immediately, he looked at me for a moment.

"Lee Y/N. Father's name is... You live in..."

I blinked.

Wait...

How did he know everything about me?

"How do you know all of that?" I asked suspiciously.

He didn't answer right away.

Instead, he sat down on the nearby bench, pulled a cigarette from his pocket, lit it, and took a slow puff before speaking.

"Y/N... I used to live in the same neighborhood."

For a second, I couldn't process what he had said.

Then...

A blurry memory surfaced.

When I was six or seven years old, there had been an older boy who sometimes played with the neighborhood kids.

He had suddenly moved away one day.

I barely remembered his face.

"Oh..."

I looked at him again.

"I didn't recognize you."

A small smile appeared on his face before disappearing just as quickly.

"What were you doing with that girl?" he asked.

"Tizu? She's my friend."

He sighed.

"Maybe. But she isn't the best influence."

I stared at him.

Seriously?

He sounded exactly like my dad.

Not another lecture.

"It was my first time going to a club," I admitted. "I just wanted to experience something new before enrolling in college."

He looked at me with that same serious expression.

For some reason...

I looked back at him with what he had called my "puppy eyes."

He let out a quiet sigh.

"So... you really are eighteen?"

"I am." I nodded.

He looked at me for a moment before holding out his hand.

"Can we start over?"

I looked at him, confused.

"I'm Jungkook."

A small smile appeared on my face.

"Y/N."

"Friends?" he asked.

I looked at his hand for a second before smiling.

"Friends."

I shook his hand.

"Come with me." He offered me his hand.
