Next Evening
Mr. Lee had spent the entire afternoon making sure everything was perfect.
Y/N kept checking the clock every few minutes.
Tizu noticed and couldn't help teasing her.
"Y/N, you've checked the time at least twenty times."
"I haven't."
"You just did it again."
Y/N rolled her eyes.
"I'm just making sure everything is ready."
Taehyung walked into the living room carrying a few plates.
"Everything looks ready to me."
Tizu immediately walked over and took one of the plates from him.
"Did you help Appa?"
"Of course."
He smiled proudly.
"I even arranged the chairs."
Tizu looked around.
"You moved three chairs."
"Exactly. Very important work."
Y/N laughed softly.
Mr. Lee looked at all three of them with an amused expression.
"Enough teasing. Our guests will be here soon," Mr. Lee said.
Y/N's smile faded slightly.
She looked down at her hands.
"Appa..."
Mr. Lee noticed immediately.
"Nervous?"
She nodded.
"A little."
He walked over and gently patted her head.
"Don't be. You're not meeting a stranger."
Y/N looked up at him.
"You're meeting the father of the man you love."
A small smile appeared on her face.
"Yes, but... still."
Mr. Lee smiled calmly.
"Then it's fine."
Just then—
Ding-dong.
Everyone froze.
Tizu's eyes widened.
"They're here."
Taehyung immediately straightened his shirt.
"Everyone, act normal."
Tizu looked at him.
"You saying that makes me more nervous."
Mr. Lee chuckled and walked toward the door.
Y/N took a deep breath.
Beside her, Jungkook's absence suddenly felt noticeable.
She looked toward the entrance.
A moment later, Mr. Lee opened the door.
Mr. Jeon stood outside, dressed neatly, with Jungkook beside him.
Jungkook immediately smiled when his eyes met Y/N's.
Her nervous expression softened.
