The Last Night

The next night, Y/N quietly went to the rooftop after dinner.

This time, Jungkook was already there.

The moment she stepped onto the rooftop, he looked at her.

"Hey."

"Hey."

Y/N walked straight toward him and wrapped her arms around him.

Jungkook hugged her back.

She was happy to see him, but the sadness in her eyes was impossible to hide.

"You had dinner?" he asked softly.

"Yes."

"I hope you have some space left."

He handed her a small bento box.

Y/N looked at him curiously before opening it.

Her eyes immediately softened.

Bibimbap.

He had made it for her.

She looked at the food, then back at him.

Without saying anything, she walked toward their usual corner and sat down.

Jungkook followed and sat beside her.

Y/N took a spoonful and tasted it.

For a moment, she said nothing.

She closed her eyes.

When she opened them again, they were filled with tears.

Jungkook immediately noticed.

"Hey..."

He looked worried.

"Is it spicy?"

Y/N shook her head.

"It's perfect."

Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Jungkook understood.

He gently wiped away one of her tears.

"I thought it didn't taste good."

She tried to smile.

"I just..."

She stopped.

There were so many things she wanted to say.

How much she loved him.

How scared she was of leaving.

How much she was going to miss him.

But none of the words would come out.

Jungkook swallowed his own emotions.

"I'll send you the recipe."

He smiled softly.

"Whenever you miss me, you can make it yourself."

Y/N didn't answer.

Instead, she leaned forward and hugged him tightly.

Jungkook wrapped both arms around her and held her close.

Neither of them spoke.

They simply stayed like that for a long time, knowing that this was probably their last rooftop meeting for a while.

Finally, Jungkook whispered,

"Sweetheart."

Y/N slowly looked up.
