Same Evening
Jungkook was waiting for Y/N at his restaurant.
She was already thirty minutes late.
"I'm sorry!" she said as she hurried inside, slightly out of breath. "The hospital was packed today."
Jungkook silently poured her a glass of water and handed it to her.
"I didn't even ask," he said with a small smile.
"Thank you." She accepted the glass sheepishly.
After she finished drinking, he leaned back in his chair.
"So... where do you want to go today?" he asked.
"You've already met my Appa." Y/N smiled. "Now I want to meet your father."
"I don't think that's a good idea." Jungkook's smile faded.
"But, Jungkook... we need his blessing," she said with a frown.
"I know." He sighed. "I really do. But..."
"But what?" she asked softly.
"You know how my father is. He isn't exactly..."
"He seemed nice to me," she interrupted before he could finish.
"No..." Jungkook smiled bitterly. "That's not what I meant."
Before he could explain any further, his phone rang.
He stared at the screen without answering.
"Pick it up," Y/N said, gently nudging him.
"It's probably nothing." He declined the call.
A few seconds later, the phone rang again.
Mr. Do Calling
"Maybe it really is important," Y/N said with a pout.
Jungkook sighed before answering.
"I'll be right back."
He walked a few steps away.
Y/N quietly watched him.
Several minutes later, he returned.
"Everything okay?" she asked.
"Yeah." He nodded. "Come on." Then he smiled.
"Where?" She blinked.
"You wanted to meet my father. We're going."
"Really?" Her eyes widened.
"Before I change my mind." He chuckled.
She immediately stood up and followed him.

Jeon Mansion
Within half an hour, they arrived at the Jeon family estate.
Jungkook parked the car and walked around to open the passenger door for her. He held out his hand.
She smiled and took it.
As they walked toward the mansion, Y/N couldn't help admiring its elegant exterior.
"It looks..." She looked around in awe. "...just like your apartment."
"It should." Jungkook laughed quietly. "I grew up here."
"Nervous?" he asked after noticing that her hands were cold and slightly sweaty.
"A little," she admitted honestly.
