She buried her face against his chest again.

She listened quietly to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat.

He whispered near her ear.

He frowned in confusion.

She slowly stood on her tiptoes.
Leaning closer...
She placed a gentle kiss on his cheek.
A tiny, feather-light kiss.
When she pulled away...
Jungkook couldn't stop smiling.
"So..."
He rubbed the spot dramatically.
"You're trying to kill me already?"
Y/N rolled her eyes and lightly smacked his arm.
"Shut up."
"Ouch!"
He clutched his arm dramatically.
She couldn't help laughing.
Then...
Her smile slowly faded.
Her gaze drifted to the small scar on the corner of his lip.
Carefully...
She reached up and brushed it with the tip of her finger.
Her touch was so gentle it almost didn't feel real.
Jungkook noticed the change in her expression.
The happiness in her eyes had been replaced with guilt.
"It doesn't hurt," he said softly.
Y/N lowered her head.
"I'm..."
Jungkook immediately shook his head.
"No."
