Jungkook drove Y/N home.
As they entered her neighborhood, he slowed the car down.
A faint smile appeared on his face.
"This place hasn't changed much..."
He looked out the window.
"It still looks the same as when I used to live here."
He parked the car in front of her house.
Y/N turned to him.
"Why did left?"
He nodded.
"My parents bought a mansion."
"My mom had always dreamed of living in a big house."
"So..."
"We moved."
His voice softened toward the end.
For just a moment...
The smile on his face faded.
Y/N noticed it immediately.
She knew he wasn't just talking about a house.
He was remembering the family he had lost.
Instead of bringing up the past...
She chose to give him a new place to belong.
"You know..."
She smiled warmly.
"If you ever miss your childhood..."
"You can always move in with Appa and me."
Jungkook looked at her in surprise.
"Really?"
She nodded.
"Of course."
"Though..."
She grinned.
"You'll have to get Appa's permission first."
Jungkook sighed dramatically.
"That sounds like the hardest mission of my life."
"It is."
She laughed.
"But I think you'll pass."
He smiled back.
After a brief silence...
Y/N looked toward the house.
"Do you want to come inside?"
His eyes lit up for a second before he shook his head.
"I'd love to..."
"But..."
She finished the sentence for him.
"...it wouldn't be right."
He nodded.
"Exactly."
She tilted her head.
"But no one's home."
"That's exactly why."
He smiled gently.
"If your father were here, I'd happily come inside, and greet him."
"But while he's away..."
"I don't want to cross any boundaries."
Y/N stared at him for a second.
Then she smiled.
"Ajusshi."
