The clock was ticking as I rushed to put my outfit on. I only had ten minutes left to get out of here and make my way to Buckingham Palace. Today was a big day. Yes, I was going to officially meet the King at his Garden party that he was hosting. But I'm the one who planned the event so I had to be there to make sure everything ran accordingly.

"Gianna Hamilton, we need to leave now or else we'll be late!" My mum, Kathy Hamilton yelled from downstairs.

That's me but everyone calls me Gia. I'm an event planner from London, England. I recently graduated but I've been running my event planning business for two years. It was all thanks to Mum who contributed greatly to the business. She believed in my dream and today I can proudly say I'm a well-known event planner throughout England.

I won't forget the day I received a call from the palace requesting my service. Mum and I  couldn't be happier that we'd received such a breakthrough.

I looked at my outfit in the mirror for the last time. I decided to wear a cream skirt that was just above my knees with a cream white blouse and nude heels. I added a small fascinator to match the occasion.

I grabbed my purse and headed out of my room.

"Oh dear, you look brilliant." Mum said, staring at me in awe.

"Thanks, mum." I gave her a hug before grabbing all the necessary stuff I needed.

She looked fancy in a floral dress with matching heels. A rare sight. Mum only ever wore jeans and a top. She only dressed up for very very special occasions as she'd always say. Today she was helping me with everything. I could use all the help. This was the King's garden party after all. In other words, I cannot 'fuck it up' as mum told me last night.

Once we loaded everything into my car, we made our way to the palace. I had to be there at least two hours before the event to make sure everything was ready.

"Name?" The security questioned.

"Gia Hamilton. Uh - I'm the event planner?"

He quickly made a call before opening up for me. Even though I'd driven through the estate before to plan the event, it always felt like the first time. The scenery was out of this world. The Palace had grounds that stretched over the hills. It was magical.

I parked where the staff park as I had to use the staff entrance. Outside, Amy, the executive assistant of the King stood outside. She was a beautiful woman with a cold personality. She had  blonde hair cut into a bob, stone cold blue eyes and her body was easily comparable to that of a model. She was what society considered "healthy".

"At last your here, Gia. The event starts in an hour and a half." She said. Mum and I followed her inside.

On me, I had my notebook and pen ready to check my list. I went over everything and made sure that everything was in tact. It was absolutely beautiful.

There was a lovely long table set outside on the grounds full of delicious goods for the guests when they arrive. The guest list was filled with royals and A-list stars.

"I just checked with the waiters if they're all ready. Everything is good to go, dear." Mum gave me an assuring smile that eased my nerves.

I nodded. "Great. Now we can relax." I let out a sigh of relief.

"The King assigned two guest rooms for you two to show his gratitude. You may use them to refresh and prepare for the party." Amy informed us.

"Really? I'm absolutely chuffed!" Mum squealed.

"Thank you, Amy." I gave her a small smile.

She showed us to our rooms. I decided to retouch my makeup. Mum came in to let me know that she was heading out to double check if everything was fine. She didn't want me to worry too much since I'd been working hard enough as it is.
