"I guess it's just us today." Beatrice sighed, sitting on the couch opposite me.
I smiled at her while opening my notebook.
"Alessandro can't make it?" I asked.
She shook her head. "He has a meeting."
I nodded, feeling my mood dampen a bit. I was hoping to see him today since I last saw him when we went clubbing. That was two weeks ago now.
We spoke about the event for half an hour. It was draining hearing her talk the whole time. With each second that went by, I dreaded accepting to plan this wedding.
"How about we take a short break?" She suggested and I nodded.
"I'm going to the Bathroom." I told her before leaving.
On my way, I looked around and smiled at the beautiful art that hung on the walls. It was truly majestic walking through these hallways. I felt like a princess for a second, getting lost in the walls of a castle.
I quickly used the bathroom. I walked and made my way back. As I walked, someone grabbed my arm and pulled me into a room. My eyes widened in shock when I locked eyes with Alessandro's blinding blue ones. He put his index finger on his lips and dragged me to the closest room. He locked the door of the living room we were in then turned to face me. We stood a few feet away from each other, just staring. My pulse was racing and I was dying to be wrapped in his arms.
"I need to talk to you." He said sternly.
I folded my arms. "Alessandro, I need to go. Your fiancé is waiting for me and I don't want her to think I'm lost."
He walked closer to me until he was a few inches away. "I just wanted to see you for a second." He pursed his lips. "How about we escape our meetings and go do something fun." He suggested.
I gawked at him n disbelief and his lips lifted into a small smile. "Are you crazy?" I whisper-yelled.
"Yes, Gia. I'm crazy and tired of being in this place. I need to get away." His eyes never broke contact with mine.
"I would love to but I can't. I've got many meetings today." I told him. Disappointment flashed his eyes.
His face became emotionless and he gazed at me with his usual cold stare. "Are you and Rafael dating?"
I let out a low chuckle. "No we're not. Don't get your knickers in a twist."
"You will not date my brother, got that?"
I folded my arms as I felt anger take over me.
"I never said I will? Bloody hell! What's wrong with you today?" I asked, surprised by his sudden outburst.
"So you're just going to date my brother and show up to our family events with him now?" He questioned, anger evident in his voice.
"I can do what I want, Alessandro." I rolled my eyes and walked away.
He grabbed my arm and turned me around in a second. He then pushed me towards the wall and trapped me with both his hands. His touch ignited flames in me that spread like a wildfire. I struggled to breath under the weight of his stare.
"Don't make me angry, princess. That's a side you don't want to see." His eyes gleamed with anger.
My stomach contracted into a tight ball and I felt my heart punding wildly against my chest. I met his intense gaze. "I'll be with who ever I want to be with. You've completely lost the plot, people's prince."
He chuckled before his face became serious again. His eyes looked down at my lips. He inched closer and closer. My body completely froze. It was as if he had this control over me that left me in a temporary paralysis/
