My hand snaked to the back of his neck, pulling him closer as our lips moved perfectly against each other.

My eyes opened in shock and I pushed him away from me.

"We can't do this." I told him, breathing heavily.

His face hardened and I saw a flash of disappointment in his eyes.

"You're getting married soon. You have a fiancé yet you're kissing me?"

He raked a hand through his hair and let out a sigh. "I didn't mean to--"

"I'm not going to be your little side chick, if that's what you want." I spat and his eyes widened in surprise.

I walked out and went back to the Marquee. I stood outside for two minutes to compose myself a bit. I took a deep breath in and out before walking in. Rafael was talking to Kate and another man at our table.

"There you are. I was about to go looking for you." Kate said with a worried expression.

"I just happened to bump into one of our clients so we spoke for a bit." I said. Both her and Rafael nodded. However, I could tell that Kate didn't believe my little story.

We left the polo club and had lunch at Windsor Castle. Rafael's friend, Paul, from the States joined us. He and Kate kept flirting with each other. As much as I was physically present, my mind was elsewhere. I kept on thinking about the heated, passionate moment I shared with Alessandro. The his lips felt against mine made my heart sprint.

"Gia? Are you okay?" Rafael looked at me with a concerned expression and I nodded.

"Just a bit exhausted from work." I chuckled awkwardly.

"How did you two become friends?" Kate asked them.

Rafael wiped his mouth with his napkin. "We actually went to college together in the states."

"You two must have been a couple of players, playing all the girls, huh?" Kate uttered.

Paul raised his hands in surrender. "I was actually the good guy but my man here was the biggest player. I don't even know how he did it."

Rafael punched him in the arm.

"I'm trying to score some points with Gia. Thanks for being so helpful." Rafael chuckled.

"Hmm, I've just subtracted a few points." I joked around and we all laughed.

After lunch, Kate and I headed back to her house. We had to get ready for the concert tonight.

"Do you think I should wear these boots or these sneakers?" I asked her.

She looked at both for a second before pointing at the boots.

"They'll make your outfit look better." She said before putting on eyeliner.

I nodded then put the boots on. "By the way, Alessandro kissed me at the polo club earlier."

She dropped her eyeliner and stared at me in disbelief. "You're absolutely shitting me right now."

I shook my head no.

"He took me to a private room where no one would see us. He's obviously noticed that I've been avoiding me and he was curious as to why. Before I know it, he's kissing me."

Her mouth dropped open.

"Did he finally confess his feelings?" She questioned.

"Bloody hell, Kate. What feelings? I doubt he has the slightest bit of feelings for me." I frowned and laid back on her bed. I felt tears swelling in the corners of my eyes. I got up and found her staring at me with a worried expression.
