GIA'S POV
I unlocked the door and slowly opened it. Tears escaped under my lashes and an ache burst in my heart watching him drenched in the rain.
"Have you lost your mind?!" I semi-yelled, watching him stand in the rain. He was shivering as he grabbed the towel I extended to him.
"Thank you, " he said lowly, and I nodded. He was soaking wet from the rain, and I felt bad that I had made him stand outside for so long. It was more of his own doing, but I was the reason why he forced himself to do it.
I gave him some clothes he had left here when he slept over one time. They were tanned chinos and a black polo shirt. "Here you go. Go get changed, and I'll make you a cup of tea." He gave me a small smile before heading upstairs.
I went to the kitchen and made us both tea. In no time he returned, putting his clothes in the dryer before grabbing his cup. The air crackled with tension as we sat at the breakfast table, both of us staying silent.
"I'm sorry." He began and I met his soft gaze.
"I shouldn't have approached the situation that way. I let my jealousy get the best of me and I hurt you in the process."
I heaved a sigh and took a sip of my tea.
"Rafael and I never had anything serious nor did we sleep together." I clarified. He nodded. "Yeah, he told me."
He leaned forward and reached for my hand. I slightly flinched at the sudden close contact. "I never meant to hurt and I apologize." He said, kissing my hand. "I want to make things right and be there for you and our the baby." My heart fluttered at his words. It was the first time I heard him say our baby and I couldn't suppress my smile.
I stopped smiling and frowned. "I was going to tell you, I promise. But you reacted so terribly and that ruined everything-" I couldn't speak anymore as I started sobbing. He came closer to me and ran circles on the back of my hand.
"I know and I didn't mean to. I'm going to fix things and make it right." His eyes were reassuring.
"Come stay with me." He suggested.
I wiped my tears hesitantly and stared at him in disbelief. "Aren't I only meant to stay with you when we are married?"
"No, we're engaged so we can stay together." He replied.
I looked away and inhaled deeply. "I don't know if I can do this." I admitted. Concerned filled his expression,
"What do you mean?" His tone was nervous.
"Everything, Alessandro. I thought I could but after your outburst I'm not sure that I can do it. You need to trust me and not jump to conclusions. You didn't even let me say anything."
He looked down and his frown deepened. I could tell he regretted his actions.
His gaze shifted to me. "What can I do to prove to you that I'm going to make this work?"
I let out a deep breath. "I need you to trust me and not have an outburst. You need to learn to control your emotions." I said, staring deeply into his eyes.
He nodded, his tongue swiping across his bottom pink lip. "For you and the baby I'm willing to do anything." He leaned forward and I did the same. "I'm going to prove to you just how much I love you princess." He whispered before capturing my lips.
"I love you." He smiled into the kiss. "I love you too." I answered.

I stretched and wriggled in my warm, cozy bed, slowly fluttering my eyes open. My hand hit an object, making me alarmed.
