My heart raced as I waited in the back of the black Range Rover SUV. My leg kept bouncing as I anxiously tapped my foot. My patience was wearing thin and I couldn't wait to see him. To hold him, to kiss him, hear his soothing voice and look into his intense yet loving eyes.

The plane had just landed. I decided to get out of the car, realizing I couldn't wait any longer. I fixed my shirt and pulled my jeans up.

The private jet opened, and he soon appeared, coming down the stairs. He couldn't look more handsome in navy blue chinos and a white formal shirt that he tucked into the chinos. He rolled up the sleeves and wore a watch. He smiled when he saw me and waved at me. I ran towards him barely able to wait for him to reach me.

As soon as I got to him, I jumped on him. He captured me with his strong, muscular arms and I wrapped my legs around his waist.

"God, I missed you." I whispered in his ear, wrapping my arms around him and enjoying the warmth of his body.

He let out a breath. "I missed you too, princess."

He put me down and intertwined our fingers as we walked towards the car. "You're coming with me next time. Spending just a day without you is absolute torture nevermind two weeks."

I chuckled. "Don't ever leave me for so long."

We got in the car and the driver took us to Windsor castle. I rested my head on his shoulder as we intertwined our fingers. I drew circles on on the palm of his hand while he spoke to someone on the phone.

As soon as we got to the castle, the servants helped offload his luggage. The chef had prepared a huge lunch for his arrival as per the Queen's request.

"Finally, you're home!" Alexandra embraced him in a warm hug. She pulled me in a hug too, making me feel welcomed.

She was dressed casually in denim jeans and a white blouse. She still looked elegant with small pearl earrings complimenting the outfit.

"I wasn't gone for too long, mum." He rolled his eyes.

"Come, let's go and eat you two." She instructed us. We followed her to the dining table where Rafael and the King were already sat. The King looked more frail and weaker than the last time I had seen him. He'd gone pale and his lips had lost their pink colour, appearing white and dry.

When my eyes met the Kings, I curtsied.

"You don't have to do that, princess. This is a casual meeting." Alessandro whispered in my ear.

I nodded and followed him to our seats.

He greeted his father and Rafael. I sat opposite Rafael which I was grateful for merely because of his welcoming and humorous personality.

"How was the president of the U.S?" The King questioned before taking a sip of his water.

"He was alright. He asked me to pass his greetings to you and he said he'll be visiting soon." Alessandro replied.

Rafael sighed seeming displeased. "That sounds boring. I'll have to tell my assistant to book me on vacation."

The King glared at him while Alexandra who sat next to him scolded him.

"I'm glad to hear you had such a successful trip." The King shifted his gaze back to Alessandro.

"I see things are getting quite serious between you two." He said, catching me off guard.

My breath hitched and I tried to calm myself down. He was a very intimidating man even in his casual wear. He narrowed his eyes at me, making my heart go cold. Alessandro took my hand in his and gave me a gentle squeeze as if to remind me that he's got my back.
