GIA'S POV
My eyes fluttered opened, blinking rapidly. I slowly got up, looking around. The bed was empty and Alessandro was nowhere to be found. I spotted the diamond ring on my finger and I couldn't help smiling. I stared at it in awe still not believing I was engaged to the man I loved. I eventually decided to get up and get ready for the day. We had to head back to London today and we were scheduled to leave at 11 a.m.
I wore light blue jeans with a white tee and tucked the shirt in my jeans. I paired the outfit with my sandals and a small necklace. I was packing my suitcase when the bedroom door opened, revealing Alessandro. He was carrying a tray filled with food. I instantly got hungry when the delicious smell filled my nostrils.
"Hey, princess." He smiled at me and put the tray on the coffee table. I walked over to him and he pressed his soft lips against mine.
"I thought you'd still be asleep." He said after pulling away.
I chuckled lowly. "No, I remembered we've got a flight to catch."
He gestured at the breakfast. My eyes lit up when I saw waffles covered in syrup. Next to the plate, there was a red rose. He picked it up and gave it to me. "For the most beautiful woman in this entire world." He smiled.
"You're making me blush." I looked away barely suppressing my smile.
I quickly ate and finished packing my stuff with Alessandro's help. In no time, we were headed to the airport. We had to leave through the backdoor of the hotel to avoid paparazzi. We didn't want to announce our engagement yet so we tried to be as private as possible.

We arrived back home from Paris in the afternoon. I went home and Alessandro had to rush to an urgent meeting at Wintermoor Castle. Mum and Kate were waiting for me at home. Dad was there too, visiting. He said he had some meetings in London for the week and he wanted to see me. They were all so happy when I told them about the engagement. Dad even took us out to dinner to celebrate.
I haven't seen Alessandro for three days and I missed him terribly. I was at work, about to go home when he called me. My heart fluttered and I felt like I had an entire zoo in my stomach when I saw his name on my phone.
"Hey, princess." His voice sounded through my ears, making me blush.
"Hey, peoples prince." I replied and we both laughed.
"What are you up to?" I asked him, feeling jittery.
"Just thinking about my future wife." He teased and I chuckled. "What are you up to?"
"I'm about to go home. I'm done with work and I just cant wait take a shower and rest." I huffed. "Are you done with work?"
He heaved a sigh. "I'm on my way to dinner with officials." He responded. "I miss you. I wish I could see you."
"I miss you too."
"What are you doing tomorrow?" He asked.
"I have one meeting in the morning and then I'm free for the rest of the day." I told him. "What about you?"
"I have about two meetings in the morning then a visit to an orphanage in the afternoon. I'm reading a children's book to them." He responded.
"Awe - that's so sweet."
"Do you want to have lunch with me?" He suggested. "Perhaps accompany me to the orphanage?"
I smiled. "Yes, I'd love to."
"Okay, I'll see you tomorrow. Wear something comfortable for the visit."
"Sure." I responded.
"I've arrived to my meeting, princess. I'll call you later." He informed me.
