GIA'S POV
"Hey, princess."
I jumped out of bed and rushed towards him. He picked me up and I wrapped my legs around his torso. He pressed his lips against mine, kissing me with tenderness.
"I missed you." He whispered. I pulled him closer in a hug before he let me down. "I missed you more."
"What are you doing here?" I knit my brows in confusion.
"I came to make sure you were fine." He smiled dreamily. I laced my hand in his and dragged him to my bed.
"I'm fine, Alessandro. There was no need for you to travel all the way here." I chuckled and he frowned.
"I thought being here would make you happy." He pursed his lips, looking attractive.
"No, I'm happy you're here." I burst into a laughter and he smiled.
"You sounded sick on the phone and I couldn't bear being far away." He admitted sitting on the other side of my bed. His blue eyes stared me from head to toe. I became shy when I remembered I was wearing a top without a bra and jean shorts.
"You look gorgeous." He smirked and I rolled my eyes.
"You only had to wait a day for me. I was coming back tomorrow." I shook my head.
"Can you just be happy that I'm here." He rolled his eyes.
I snickered and sat next to him on my bed. Concern filled his expression and he leaned toward me, stroking my hair. "You don't look well, princess. Are you sure we shouldn't postpone the announcement?"
I swallowed a lump of raw nerves, contemplating whether or not I should tell him I'm expecting his child. My heart was pounding in my chest as I met his gentle blue gaze. This was the right moment to tell him. Keeping such huge news from him was killing me. But the thought of him getting angry over the pregnancy made me terrified. What if he rejected the baby?
I gave a sad shrug. "I'll see how I feel tomorrow." I replied and he nodded.
A knock on the door grabbed our attention. "Come in." I called out.
Mum walked in with a tray of food. "Oh, Alessandro I didn't know you were here." She stared at him with wide eyes.
"Just came to check on her." He said and she smiled, her eyes flickering between us adoringly.
"I brought your dinner. Do you want me to bring you a plate too?" She asked Alessandro and he shook his head.
"I'm alright thanks, Kathy."
"She's not been eating much so please make sure she eats." She said and I scowled at her. "I'm not hungry."
She shook her head and walked towards the door. "Make sure you eat, dear. Alessandro don't disappoint me." She pointed her finger and he nodded, chuckling.
She left and Alessandro went to get the plate from the tray. It was pasta carbonara which is one of my favourite dishes but when the smell filled my nostrils I suddenly lost my appetite.
"I'm going to feed you and you must eat it." He demanded. He lifted up a forkful of pasta and I hesitated before taking it. I opened my mouth and chewed on the food. He smirked devilishly. "Good girl." He commented, making me roll my eyes.
After the second bite, I started enjoying it until I suddenly felt the urge to throw up. "I don't feel so well." He looked at me with concern. I rushed out of bed and went straight to the bathroom. I emptied out all the food and Alessandro came, pulling my hair away from my face. Afterward, I rinsed my mouth and he tucked me in bed. He got in and I rested on his chest.
