"Uh - sorry. I didn't know you were here. I'll go." I tried to leave but he stopped me.

"Gia, wait." He called out.

I turned to face him and met his eyes. His eyes softened and pleaded with me to stay.

"Stay with me." He uttered. "Just for a few minutes."

I nodded and walked closer to him. I stood next to him and held my fingers together to stop them from trembling. There was an awkward silence between us until he spoke.

"How have you been?" He questioned.

I sighed, looking up at the stars. "Well, thanks. I've just been really focused on work. What about you? Are you alright?"

I questioned, meeting his eyes. His caring gaze was enough to send waves through my stomach.

"Yes, I've been good thanks." He replied.

There was an another minute of silence.

"Fuck, I'm lying. I've been terrible." He admitted.

I let out a heavy breath. "Me too." My voice sounded frail.

His whole body faced me and I faced him too.

"I don't like what's going on between us. I've missed your presence more than you know." He confessed, frowning.

"I feel the same. What happened between us?"

He chuckled. "You started avoiding me and I thought that maybe you needed space."

I shook my head. "I wasn't avoiding you." I lied through my teeth.

He rolled his eyes. "Bloody hell, Gia."

"You shut me down every time I wanted us to meet up and you ignored all my calls and texts. I tried to find out what was bothering you which made you going to hiding more."

I looked down feeling ashamed.

"You weren't yourself." He sounded heartbroken and I met his gaze again. His blue eyes were so gentle.

"With good reason." I replied .

He looked at me questioningly.

"Did I do something?" He asked and I just stared at him.

He sighed before meeting my eyes again.

"If it's about the kiss I'm sorry about it but-" He paused

I don't regret it. I enjoyed the feeling of your lips on mine. I lied. It wasn't a mistake and if I could I'd do it again." Sincerity laced his voice, leaving me speechless. I stared at him with wide eyes, too stunned to speak.

"I'm tired of pretending." He looked away then locked eyes with mine.

"I've fallen for you Gia. Everything about you is so beautiful to me that it's been impossible for me not to fall for you. Just your smile is enough to brighten my day." He smiled. A beautiful white smile that sent my heart sprinting. I couldn't help but as though I was in a dream. Tears threatened to spill from my eyes as he inched closer, closing the gap between us. "You mean the world to me, princess." His tone whispered affection.
