"Answer me." He demanded.  He had a stone-like expression as he stared at me, awaiting an explanation.

My pulse raced under the scrutiny of his intense gaze. "S-sorry, I know I'm not supposed to be here. I just couldn't h-help myself, sir." I stammered, chewing on my bottom lip nervously.

"Guests aren't allowed in here." He raised his voice and my brows furrowed with fear.

"I'm sorry, sir."

"It's your highness, to you."

I looked at him confused until it clicked. He was Rafael's older brother who is hardly ever seen in public.

I gasped. "Sorry, your highness. I'll be leaving now. Apologies for my rude behaviour."

The door opened, revealing Rafael. "There you are. I was worried that you were lost."

I breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing him. I preferred him as compared to his rude, brother who had a devil-may-care outlook. Rafael walked in with a small smile resting on his lips. He frowned when he see saw my worried expression then shifted his gaze to his brother.

"Ahh I see you've met my brother, Alessandro." His tone was bitter.

"Sorry, Rafael. I didn't mean to come in here." I apologized and he waved his hand dismissing it.

"No, no worries. If I was you I'd also take the opportunity." He chuckled.

His brother, Alessandro cleared his throat clearly annoyed. His eyes were as cold as ice and his jaw ticked. I could tell that my mere presence was upsetting him.

"Rafael, get her out of here now. If you want to bring your whores I suggest you think twice again before disrespecting us." He had a sour expression.

I folded my arms as I felt rage build inside me.

"With all due respect, your highness. I am not a whore. I came here because I'm an event planner who'll be planning Rafael's birthday. I know it was rude of me to wander around but I already apologized for it. I will not tolerate being called names." I said, my eyes never leaving his intense gaze.

He rolled his eyes and walked out.

"Sorry about him. He's usually bad-tempered." Rafael gave me an apologetic smile, shoving his hands into his pockets.

I nodded. "Are you sure he's your brother? You two are completely different. " I chuckled.

"I know, it's absolute bollocks."

I went back to the office to do some work. I'd be lying if I said Rafael's brother's attitude didn't sort of ruin my mood. He was rude and very dismissive. People like him bring misery to the world. No wonder why he hardly ever makes public appearances. He's got a terrible personality.

After work, I made sure to stop by the store to buy a few things. Today was a special day. It was dad's birthday in heaven. Mum and I always took it upon ourselves to celebrate.

Once I got home, my tummy growled when I smelled the delicious chicken curry mum was making. Mum stood in the kitchen, stirring the pot while dressed in her jeans and a black sweater. Her blonde hair was tied in a messy bun and she had no makeup on. She always preferred a simple look with no makeup.

"Hello, dear. You're finally home. Dinner is just about ready." She gave me a hug and a kiss on the forehead.

"It's smells brilliant." I smiled at her. I took out the chocolate cake I bought and put it on the counter.

"How was your day?" She asked while taking out bowls from the cupboard.

I sighed. I began telling everything from my meeting with Rafael to being caught by his rude brother.
