"Alright, I'm off to a meeting. When I get back, we have to shop for outfits. The concert is in a week." Kate packed away her notebook and laptop in her bag. She grabbed her cup of coffee, finishing the rest of it in one go.

I nodded. "Good luck with the meeting."

She took her bag and waved before leaving.

I continued typing away on my laptop. It was Monday morning and I felt like I was ran over by a ton of trains. I was in no mood to work whatsoever. I forced myself to since I needed then income to get a new office.

On the bright side, we were getting a lot of income. We'd done twenty events in a month. Most of them were for wealthy, famous families in England.

"I'm off to get the material for Tanya's bridal shower. I'll be back in a jiffy." Mum informed me.

I was left alone in our private office. The other workers had the the rest of the space outside our office to use up. It wasn't enough but it was all we had for now.

I replied to all my emails and also planned a few events.

My phone buzzed indicating that someone sent me a message.

It was from Alessandro.

Come outside. :)

My stomach did somersaults when I read the message. I tried to call him but he didn't answer his phone. He was clearly ignoring my calls on purpose.

I decided to go outside, anyway. I looked around the parking lot and found him standing outside his black Aston Martin by the underground parking. He was disguised, wearing a black cap and dark shades. He waved at me and I walked towards him.

"Hi, princess." He flashed me one of his charming smiles that cause butterflies in my stomach.

I couldn't help the smile that crept it way up to my face as I hurriedly walked to him. He opened his arms wide and I leaned forward embracing him. My breath was taken away, not from the squeeze but from the realization that I was finally in his arms. His fresh, earthy scent filled the air. He was much taller than even though I wore heels.

"I missed you." His caring gaze made me feel warm all over and my chest tightened with emotion.

"Me too." I smiled sheepishly.

"I'm going to take you somewhere but let's have lunch first." He suggested.

I frowned remembering my promise to myself. I swallowed hard. "I can't. I've got a lot of work to do including your wedding, people's prince."

He became agitated and took his glasses off. "I come back and you don't even have time to have lunch with me to catch-up?"

I felt bad that I was trying to avoid him. I thought the less time I spend with him the faster I'll move on from him. The last thing I needed in my life right now was an unrequited love.

"We can always meet later in the week?" I smiled weakly.

He rolled his eyes, inhaling deeply.

"What's wrong?" His blue eyes studied me intently.

I avoided his gaze. "Nothing. As I said, I've got lots of work."

His brows tightened in puzzlement. "Did something happen while I was away?" You're not yourself."

"Maybe I'm just tired from all the work." I shrugged.

"That's why you should come with me. You work too hard which isn't good for your health."

I huffed. "You're one to talk."

"Gia, stop being so stubborn and just come with me." He insisted.

I contemplated going with him for a second but I still decided not to go with him. Just standing a few feet away from him was already making my heart pound foolishly.
