"Everyone's talking about your relationship with Alessandro. There's a photo of you two kissing going viral."
"You're joking." I said in disbelief.
I switched the large TV on and put it on BBC news.
'Who is Alessandro's new love interest?'
'Well Catherine, she appears to be an event planner from London. She is quite famous for doing large events for celebrations, even for the royal family.'
They showed a photo of us at the Royal club where Alessandro and I were kissing by the lake. He made sure that it was just us that day to avoid anyone seeing us. I guess there really are eyes and ears everywhere.
My phone slipped out of my hand as I was paralyzed with shock.
Alessandro walked in with a tray of breakfast. His smile dropped when he saw me.
"You heard the news didn't you?" He questioned, reading me.
I nodded unable to say anything. I just sat back down on the high king sized bed and stared into space. It felt like my world had been intruded. Like I no longer had any privacy. I wasn't just Gia, the well-known event planner. Now, my name was most probably in everyone's mouth. People most probably hated me too, thinking I'm the reason why Alessandro broke up wit Beatrice.
I knew that our relationship was going to come out soon but I didn't know it would be this soon. Now I had to face whatever was coming our way.
"Hey, look at me." Alessandro sat next to me and lifted my chin to face him.
His eyes softened when he saw my watery eyes.
"It's going to be okay. You have nothing to worry about." He assured me.
I heaved sighed.
"I-I just don't want to be known as the girl who separated you and Beatrice." I admitted.
He shook his head. "You won't be. For as long as you're by my side, nothing can happen. The publics opinion doesn't matter. What matters is us and our happiness. Anything and anyone else can wait." He gave me a small smile and wiped the tears that escaped my eyes.
I felt calmer and more secure hearing him say this.
"It's you and me against the world, huh?" I chuckled.
He intertwined our fingers. "You and me, princess."
He inched closer to me and kissed my lips sweet and tenderly. I melted into the kiss. I laid back down and he got on top of me. It got more passionate and heated. I began unbuttoning his shirt when there was a sudden knock on the door.
"Your royal highness, the car is waiting outside for you."
He rolled his eyes and got off of me.
"Where are you going?" I looked at him confused.
"I have a meeting to attend now but I promise I'll make it up to you tonight." He replied, kissing me on my forehead.
"I'll see you later on then."
He looked like there was something he wanted to say.
"I know this might be a bit too soon but the Royal Ascot is coming up next week. I was wondering if you'd like to be my date?" He asked, looking slightly nervous.
My eyes widened. "The royal ascot?"
He nodded, his cheeks slightly red.
I gave him a slight nod and smiled. "Sure."
