I was in a deep sleep when there was a knock on my door, waking me up from my slumber. "Gia, dear. Can I come in?"
"Oh - mum, what is it?" I questioned feeling grumpy.
"Prince Alessandro is downstairs to see you." She replied.
My body jolted up. I checked the time on my phone. What could he possibly be doing at my house at ten on a Saturday morning? I immediately got out of bed and went into my bathroom to take a shower. Afterward, I dressed in black jeans and a grey sweater since it was a bit chilly outside.
I decided not to put on any makeup because it would take up more time. I tied my hair into a bun and put on lip gloss. I rushed out of my room and went down the stairs, taking deep breaths to calm myself.
I saw him sitting at the coffee table typing away on his phone. He looked handsome in a black sweater with black chinos. He looked up when he heard me approaching. His eyes settled on me and scanned my outfit quickly making my pulse race.
He stood up then sat down again when I sat at the table.
"Uh - what brings you here so early?" I asked with curiosity.
He had a playful glint in his eyes. "Well, remember when you told me to have a normal day for a change?"
I nodded slowly.
"I decided to do that today." He sounded cheery but didn't smile.
My brows knitted in confusion. "So, what does that have to do with me?"
His captivating blue eyes bored into mine, unblinking. "You're coming with me." He said with a stern face. I stared at him in disbelief.
"I am not going with you." I folded my arms.
His eyes filled with shock before he quickly covered it with a determined look. "You have to obey my orders. It's the law."
"What will you do if I don't?"
"Well you'll find out. If I were you I'd be smart and go out - have a fun day with me."
I rolled my eyes. "Fine, where are we going?"
One hour later we were at a cinema. It was empty. Only a few staff were there to assist us.
Alessandro was wearing dark shades and a cap to cover his face."What do you want to watch?" He turned to face me, looking down at me.
"It's your day out so you choose, people's prince." I poked his arm and stared at me through his glasses. I shyly pulled my finger away and shifted my gaze to the options in front of us.
"Fine, I'm choosing a scary movie."
I gasped. "No, I hate those."
He shrugged. "Too late, princess."
We had the whole movie house to ourselves. The staff had arranged a whole table of snacks and drinks to choose from. Alessandro did indeed choose a scary movie. The whole time I was covering my eyes while he looked bored. He never jumped once whenever a scary scene came on making me question if he ever got scared of anything. He just watched the movie with his usual stern expression while I was constantly jolting from the scenes. When the movie was done I was beyond glad.
On the drive to the next place, he kept making fun of how scared I was. I instantly regretted joining him on his "normal" day.
We finally arrived at a restaurant in town. It was a laid back Italian restaurant and not your fancy type of restaurant. Alessandro ordered a bottle of wine for us and two pastas.
