"Should I buy one or two?" Kelsey asked through the phone as browsed the aisles of the convenience store
"Try get two but I'm not sure if Kai and Haerin come home tonight" Kira said, eyes skimming over Jihye who was watching a cartoon on the TV eating the cut up fruit Kira had gave her after she begged to join her and Kelsey for movie night saying she couldn't sleep.
"I think the pizza is here, get here soon" Kira said, hearing the door and ending the call with Kelsey.
"Pizza?" Jihye asked with wide eyes and she chuckled
"You better go to bed right after, your dad will kill me" She said as she ruffled Jihye's hair and smiled at her excited expression before she walking to answer the door.
She pushed the handle down, instantly feeling a strong push from the other side making her widen her eyes, immediately meeting the slit eyes of the man before the door. Her jaw almost dropped at the familiar devilish grin, instinctively pushing the door to close it, but he was much stronger than her, she knew that all too well.
"What the fuck are you doing here?" She asked, voice shaking, as he pushed past her into the living room. The smell of alcohol entering the house with him as she stumbled through her apartment.
"I missed you, I wanted to see how you were doing" he slurred, his eyes landing on the girl who now turned her head to look at the tall man who had entered the room
"Mommy, who's this?" Jihye asked innocently and Kira took in a shaky breath as he approached the girl
"Mommy?" he let out an amused laugh as he bent down to Jihye's height
"Please don-"
"You don't remember me from the alley? I'm your mommy's old friend, Seunghan" he said, faking a smile with a wave
"How old are you cutie?" Seunghan asked
"Five" she answered shortly, backing away from him a little
"Jihye don't talk to him" Kira said, trying to keep her voice as calm as possible to not make the kid worried
"I don't think your mommy likes me anymore" he pouted, standing up to his feet, turning around to Kira. Jihye sprung to her feet to run behind Kira, holding her hand tightly and hiding behind her legs
"And surprisingly...I don't really like her anymore either" Seunghan said, hand reaching to his back pocket to reach for the shiny metal, making her take a step back
"Seunghan please, not infront of-"
"Five? She's five?" He scoffed, playing with the knife between his fingers
"It's not what you think!" Kira shouted, hearing Jihye let out a fearful cry from behind her
"Don't lie to me! You had a kid this whole time didn't you?!" He yelled back
"Just let her go and I'll explain" she asked, breathing heavily as they hit the wall behind them with him dangerously close to them now. The sound of drips on the floor made the two look at the young girl who was close to panicking, urinating on the floor below her as fear response
"Please!" Kira pleaded with him, tears streaming down her cheeks and with whatever sane emotions the man infront of her had left in him, he took a step back in agreement.
"Jihye, look at me" Kira said, trying her best to seem calm through the whole situation, wiping her tears
"I'm scared, I want my dad" Jihye cried, voice shaking
"I know baby, listen to me. I need you to go to my room, close the door and draw a picture until I come get you" Kira said firmly and she shook her head
