"So it's happening...this is really happening" Kira said, clearing her throat as they walked down the hallway to the practice room that Jaehyun was leading her to

"Yes it is" he smiled, relieved that he was taking a step further in this career. The weight of upholding the certain idol image, especially as one of the main visuals for NCT, was starting to lift off his shoulder.

"Are you sure you want this? Like what if you wake up one day and you think this is like the worst idea ever and you've just put your whole career on the line?" She asked and he sighed

"You really think of me like that?" He asked, slight disappointment nerving in his words and she sighed

"Well no—"

"Okay then don't think like that. That's not going to happen, so don't question my feelings for you ever again" he said strictly and she pouted, realising negativity wasn't going to get her anywhere and that the feeling of guilt was a temporary one.

"I'm sorry, that's not how I meant for it to come out" She said and he nodded, ruffling the top of her head, something he always did these days, finding her annoyed but helpless reaction cute. But in her head, as much as it annoyed her, if Jaehyun wanted to mess with her hair, Jaehyun can mess with her hair.

"Hey, can we interrupt?" Jaehyun asked, poking his head into the room to see a blonde haired Taeyong and Seulgi midway through a dance routine

"Ah! We were filming a Tiktok!" Taeyong said with a playful groan, knowing they'd have to restart it again

"We?" Seulgi questioned, and Jaehyun opened the door wider and let himself in with a shy Kira trailing closely behind, his hoodie in her fist so he couldn't go too far from her.

"Hello, it's nice to meet you queen Seulgi" Kira said formally, bowing a 90 degree angle making Taeyong laugh

"I told you she was cute" Taeyong said with a fond smile

"She's funny"'Seulgi chuckled, bowing as well to match her energy

"I'm not joking, I really mean that" she said smiled, the others laughed but only Seulgi knew that if Seulgi actually asked, Kira wouldn't hesitate to bow down and pledge allegiance

"Okay that's enough" Jaehyun chuckled, pulling her back beside him so she could stop giving the older woman heart eyes

"She's so hot, it hurts" Kira whispered and Jaehyun smiled, poking her waist

"I'm hot too—"

"Yeah yeah whatever" she mumbled, turning back around to Seulgi and Taeyong who finished chugging their bottles of water down, ignoring the frown on Jaehyun's lips

"Kira is Taehyun actually okay?" Taeyong asked and she nodded

"Who's Taehyun? What happened?" Seulgi asked, butting into the conversation

"Yeah he's fine. Taehyun isn my best friend, my ex broke into my apartment and it was a whole thing and he got stabbed. He's out of the hospital now though" she said and Seulgi gasped

"I hate men!" She muttered

"I know!" Kira agreed, and the two girls quickly turned to the guys standing beside them

"You don't count" they said in unison making the other two chuckle. Jaehyun pulled her close to him again, much to her dismay that she was being pulled further from Seulgi

"So are you two like official?" Seulgi asked, pointing to the two and Kira sheepishly nodded

"We're confirming it soon, they're putting a story together of how we met though" Jaehyun chuckled, knowing that texting a fan wasn't the most appropriate way to say they started dating, and the babysitter story wouldn't work at all.
