The Weight of Abandonment

In this realm of despair, how can I appease your heart?
When every step I take is deemed wrong from the start.
You treat me like a child, belittling my worth,
Yet burden me with struggles, as if I'm meant to bear the earth.

Why do you underestimate me, marking my every mistake?
Your presence lingers, but it feels like you've forsaken,
A blurry figure, fading into the abyss,
You left me in my time of need, a painful reminisce.

I yearn to strike you, to make you feel the pain,
To unleash my anger, with words profane.
But I refuse to stoop to your level of disdain,
For I am more than you, my spirit won't wane.

No longer will you hear a word from my lips,
I'll sever ties, cut the cord, let go of your grip.
I am not like you, I'll prove my independence,
Watch as I flourish, living life with resilience.
