Embracing Nostalgia

Beneath the rain's gentle embrace on this early eve,
A figure emerged, familiar yet distant in the mist.
Nostalgia seized me, halting my steps in disbelief,
As I raised my umbrella, longing to reminisce.

With each droplet that kissed my face, I inhaled,
His presence enveloping me, a scent of memories untold.
Like a potent elixir, he stirred emotions long veiled,
Leaving behind a bittersweet aftertaste, both warm and cold.

His essence danced in the air, a symphony for my senses,
Recalling moments shared, both joyous and forlorn.
A medicine he was, but not the cure for my defenses,
Yet his touch, his essence, forever etched, reborn.

In that fleeting encounter, our paths intertwined,
Leaving an indelible mark upon my soul's terrain.
For even in parting, his presence remains enshrined,
A lingering echo of a love that once knew no restrain.
