If I could unravel the tapestry of time,
I'd erase the creation of an abhorrent crime.
Nuclear weapons, born of human design,
Cast a shadow upon us, a sinister sign.
Within their core lies a malevolent force,
Unleashing destruction with no remorse.
Their peaceful facade conceals the truth,
A darkness that engulfs, a fate uncouth.
In the blink of an eye, they unleash despair,
Leaving behind scars that eternally tear.
A nuclear assault, a haunting symphony,
Of fatalities, injuries, and desolation's plea.
The searing heat, the deafening blast,
Reducing cities to ruins, erasing the past.
Radiation's grip, a silent, lingering dread,
Poisoning the land, as the fallout spreads.
Uninventing these weapons, a dire need,
To sever the ties to this destructive creed.
In the absence of their ominous might,
A chance for redemption, a glimmer of light.
But the darkness persists, a haunting refrain,
Reminding us of the horrors we cannot contain.
As we navigate a world teetering on the brink,
The shadows of nuclear weapons continue to sink.
