Tears of Remorse

I'm drained, devoid of strength, and worn,
No tears left to shed, my emotions torn.
Praying for this anguish to swiftly fade,
Yet, amidst the pain, a hint of regret is born.

The evil I've wrought, the hellish despair,
Moments of disgust, too much to bear.
Now the chapter ends, but remorse remains,
Aching heart and blurred eyes, burdened with care.

In this bittersweet reflection, I find no solace,
Regret weighs heavy, wounds too deep to erase.
The agony lingers, a haunting melody,
Leaving me wounded, lost in this desolate space.
