The Unforgiving Clock

I wonder why
There are things that, no matter how much you care,
Can be ravaged by time's cruel embrace?
Were they never truly strong from the start?

Time flies so fast,
It's a relentless race,
The world morphs and shifts with such haste,
Leaving us struggling to keep up, hearts torn apart.

Regret fills my soul,
As I ponder what could have been,
If only I had cherished every moment,
Instead of letting time slip through my fingers, unseen.

Resentment lingers in the air,
For the moments lost, forever gone,
A reminder of the fragility of life,
And the consequences of moving on.

But amidst the regret and resentment,
There's a lesson to be learned,
To cherish what we have,
Before it's taken, before it's burned.

Let us not be defeated by time's cruel game,
But strive to make every moment count,
For in the face of change and loss,
Our resilience is paramount.
