As I take hesitant steps down the seemingly endless hallway,
A shiver runs down my spine, a chilling display.
The walls, painted in a dreary shade of gray,
Embrace me with their cold touch, leading me astray.

A flickering bulb, the sole source of light,
Casts eerie shadows that dance and ignite.
In the depths of darkness, secrets unfold,
Whispering tales of despair, untold.

The silence, deafening, engulfs my soul,
Echoes of torment, taking their toll.
Unseen eyes watch me, with a sinister gaze,
Their presence lurking, in this twisted maze.

The darkness engulfs me, a suffocating embrace,
What lies at the end, in this foreboding space?
Then I woke up, breathless, drenched in sweat,
Heart pounding loudly, in a haunting duet.

This vivid dream, a glimpse into the abyss,
A journey through shadows, where darkness persists.
In the depths of my being, I search for the light,
To navigate the darkness, and emerge from the night.
