I excel at staying away from anything, be it good or bad,
I excel at avoiding anyone,
Whether they are true or not.
But if you truly desire to be near someone like me,
Then perhaps I can excel at treating you right,
And I can ensure your well-being by my side.
But if the time comes when you wish to depart,
Or if you no longer wish to be with me,
Or even if you find it unbearable to be by my side,
I apologize, for I am not skilled at holding back or fighting for you,
Even if you are merely testing me,
Or if you seek to prove your worth to me,
Because I am also exceptionally skilled at one thing,
And that is letting go.
