Fragments of Disillusionment

Not a prince charming type
In a Cinderella story's grip
Nor a knight in shining armor
From Shakespearean poetry's script
No gold, no title to his name
Yet, I fell in love, oh, how it came

A simple shy guy, his trademark
His beaming smile, always stark
Infamously ordinary, that's him
Yet, a darkness lingers within

He arrived unexpectedly
Leaving me flabbergasted, you see
Testing my feelings, oh, so randomly
Realizing I was beloved, undoubtedly
By an ordinary man, he became
Unveiling the depths within, a mystery untamed

But beneath his gentle facade
A shadowed past, a hidden charade
His love, a twisted enigma
A haunting tale, a dark stigma
In his embrace, I found solace and strife
A love that thrived in the depths of night.
