Inconsistent updates, but I do try my hardest. My writing isn't the best either, but again, I try my hardest.
Thank you so much to all those who vote and comment or even just read. I really appreciate...
"Did you hear that that Swift girl is dating a junior in college?"
Taylor's eyes widen. She shuts her locker and looks around, spotting two sophomores chatting just across the hall.
She walks over. "Um, are you guys talking about me?"
They look at her with raised eyebrows. Of course they were talking about her; she was the only Swift in the school.
At Taylor's high school, simply talking to a student above your grade level was considered royalty, even more so when you were dating a junior in college. Which she was. She was dating you, and you were a junior in college.
"Yeah, is it true you're dating a college junior?" One of the girls asks.
Taylor swallows. She hesitates, but a crowd eventually forms around them, courtesy of the other girl calling their friends.
Taylor was a freshman in high school and still didn't know how she could have possibly been able to even get you to talk to her. She was basically a wallflower at school, and she liked it that way, which is why she kept her relationship with you private, because even though you didn't give half a shit about who knew you were dating Taylor, if she went around and told even just one person, it would spread like wildfire and soon, she'd be Greenwood High's own Regina George.
Taylor bit the inside of her cheek before slowly nodding.
"Let us see him then." Another girl puts her hand on her hip.
"I-I'd rather not..." Taylor whispered, overwhelmed.
Another speaks up, "Call him up, we wanna see."
"Um. Her," Taylor corrects softly.
"Ooh, she's a lesbian!"
Taylor felt ogled. Like a zoo animal in a cage. Finally, as the first girl begins to say something, she pushes past them and darts into the girls' bathroom, ringing you. She knew you'd be in class, but she needed you.
You answer after the second ring. "What's up, baby girl?" you ask on the other line.
Taylor's voice trembles as she leans back against the stall door. "S-some sophomores found out."
"Oh." You laughed slightly, having expected something a little more important and serious. But then again, this was also important and serious to Taylor, so you did your best to comfort and reassure her, and finally, when she had calmed down enough to go back to class, you said a goodbye and "I love you," before hanging up.
Taylor heads back to class with her head down.
Her phone dinged as her teacher was droning on.
