yayy another Filipino AU (based off a Facebook post)

"Kuya, sa Katipunan po," you say as you take your seat in the jeepney.

You find yourself beside a blue-eyed blonde wearing a white facemask on her phone. You realise you're not wearing one and quickly fish it out of your pocket to put it on.

A few minutes into the ride, the blonde beside you turns to you and, through the buzz and blare of traffic, asks, "Ate, anong oras na po?"

Upon looking into her eyes, a bell rings in your head. She looks awfully familiar to this one girl you met online, Taylor. You have to admit you've got feelings for her, but you've never met her before, so you haven't told her yet.

"Ah," you say, pulling your phone out and showing her your lock screen. "Quarter to three."

She nods. Then cocks her head to the side. "Ganda naman ng wallpaper mo."

You look at your lock screen and notice your wallpaper is Taylor. "Oh," you say softly. You have no idea what to say, so you end up blurting out, "Girlfriend ko."

The blonde has a sort of smug, amused smile, and you can tell from the sparkle in her blue eyes. She really does look like Taylor.

"Talaga?" she asks.

You hesitantly nod.

Fuck. Kilala niya ba si Taylor? Does Taylor have some twin she didn't tell me about?

You go to look away, but she suddenly takes her mask off.

Okay, she definitely looks like Taylor.

It takes a moment for you to register. Oh, fuck. This is Taylor.

"Hi," she says, smiling.

You take off your own mask. "Taylor?"

She nods again, her beaming grin growing wider.

"Oh, my God!" you exclaim and cover your mouth in shock, trying to process what's happening. The jeepney jolts slightly as it maneuvers through traffic, but all you can focus on is Taylor sitting right beside you.

"I can't believe this," she says, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "We weren't supposed to meet like this."

You laugh nervously, still reeling from the surprise. "Why?"

"I wanted to surprise you," she admits, blushing slightly. "I've been planning this trip for a while kasi sabi mo you live in Manila."

Your heart swells with a mix of disbelief and joy. "Akala ko naman mga ilang buwan pa bago tayo magkita."

She reaches out and gently takes your hand. "Well, surprise! Now we can spend some real time together."

The jeepney stops, and a few passengers get off, giving you a brief moment of quiet. You look into her eyes, still amazed at how beautiful she is in person.

"So, may plano ka na for today?" you ask, your voice trembling with excitement.

"Just one," she says, squeezing your hand. "To spend it with you."

I have literally so many new imagines to finish, I am so overwhelmed.
