"Baby," Taylor says softly as she taps your shoulder.

You've been on your laptop the whole day, answering inquiry after inquiry, all the while Taylor has been begging for you to fuck her.

"Babe, please lang, busy pa'ko, mamaya ka na muna mangulit*¹," you beg as you hit backspace on a paragraph you were typing out.

Taylor scoffs. "Ay, wow*²."

"Sino ina-"ay, wow,"-"ay, wow," mo diyan*³?" you ask her angrily as you glare at her.

She crosses her arms and leans against the headboard, her expression a mix of frustration and hurt. "Ikaw kasi, lagi kang busy. Parang wala na talaga 'kong halaga sayo*⁴," Taylor responds, her voice trembling slightly.

You let out a sigh, rubbing your temples. "Taylor, it's not like that. I'm just really swamped with work right now. Pero 'wag mo namang isipin na wala ka nang halaga sa'kin. Iniintindi naman kita, eh*⁵," you say, trying to soften your tone.

"Talaga? Kasi parang ako na lang lagi nag-aadjust para sayo*⁶," Taylor says, her eyes welling up with tears. "Ako ba, naiisip mo man lang? Hindi, 'di'ba*⁷?"

Her words hit you hard, and you realise that she's right. You've been so caught up with your responsibilities that you've neglected the person who means the most to you.

"I'm sorry, Tay," you say softly, sighing.

"Ano, ganoon na lang 'yun*⁸?" Taylor asks incredulously, her voice rising. "Sorry ka lang? Hindi na 'to sapat, basta na lang palaging ako mag-aadjust*⁹."

You stand up, your own frustration mounting. "Ano pa bang gusto mo gawin ko, Taylor*¹⁰? I'm trying my best here. Hindi naman pwedeng basta ko na lang pabayaan trabaho ko*¹¹."

"Exactly," she snaps. "Trabaho, trabaho nalang lagi. Ako na lang ba lagi mag-aadjust? Ako na lang ba lagi maghihintay*¹²?"

You feel a surge of anger and helplessness. "Taylor, hindi mo ba nakikita? Lahat ng 'to, ginagawa ko rin para sa atin. Pero hindi mo naintindihan*¹³."

Taylor's eyes flash with anger. "Hindi mo naman ako naiintindihan*¹⁴! You just don't get it, do you? I need you. Not your excuses, not your apologies. Ikaw ang kailangan ko*¹⁵!"

There's a moment of silence as you both stare at each other, the tension in the room palpable. Then, with a pained look, Taylor grabs her bag from the corner of the room and starts stuffing her things into it.

"Anong ginagawa mo*¹⁶?" you ask, panic creeping into your voice.

"Aalis na 'ko*¹⁷," she says, her voice breaking. "Kailangan ko ng space, kailangan kong mag-isip. Kasi hindi ko na kaya 'to. Lagi na lang ganito, lagi na lang ako nasasaktan*¹⁸."

You step forward, trying to stop her. "Taylor, please. 'Wag ganto. Kaya natin 'to ayusin*¹⁹."

She shakes her head, tears streaming down her face. "Hindi ko na alam. Hindi ko na alam kung kaya pa. Basta ang alam ko*²⁰, I can't bear another second of looking at your face."

In a desperate, last-minute attempt to get her to stay, you say, "Taylor, hindi ko naman sinasadyang saktan ka, eh*²¹. I'm just under a lot of pressure right now."

"Pressure?" she snaps. "Kahit gaano pa katindi 'yung pressure mo, hindi sapat na dahilan 'yan para baliwalain mo 'ko*²². I need you too!"

And with that, she turns and leaves.

iba talaga mag-away mga Taglishera, guys, pramis

anw, translations!

please note that if I specify a tone of voice, it is completely based off of context.

*¹"Babe, please, I'm still/too busy, can you pester me later?"
∆ what this phrase, if said here in Philippines, really means or would be interpreted as is, "Can this/it wait?" in a sort of snappy, mad tone (in this context).

*²"Oh, wow."
∆ "Ay" basically means: "Ow!" (when hurt) (however, it's more common to use "Aray!" or "Aguy!" ("Aguy!" is Bisayan))

*³"Who is that directed to?"
∆ there's no direct translation to "ina-ay, wow", because "ina" (this also means Mom) isn't even an actual word as far as I know, but it's usually used as a verb. other variations of that is "Ano tinitingin mo diyan?" meaning, "Who/what are you looking at like that?" in, again, a snappy, mad tone.

*⁴"You/It's 'cause of you (this is the more direct translation), you're always so busy, it's like I don't even matter to you!"

*⁵"But don't think that you don't matter to me, I do take care of you, you know."
∆ the Filipino expression "eh" is often used similarly to how Americans might use "well," "so," or "you know" in conversation. It's a versatile particle that can be used to soften a statement, seek agreement, or imply a continuation of thought. For instance, Filipinos might say "Ang init, eh" (It's hot, eh) to emphasize the heat or "Gusto ko 'yon, eh" (I like that, eh) to express approval.
and "iniintindi" may mean "understanding", but IN THIS CONTEXT, it can mean, or can be interpreted as "taking care of"

*⁶"Really? 'Cause it feels like I'm the only one adjusting for you."

*⁷"Me, have you ever thought of me? No, right?"

*⁸"What, it'll just be like that?"
∆ direct translation, but what it cam really mean or be interpreted as is: *⁹"You're just gonna say sorry?"

*⁹"This isn't enough, it's just me who's always adjusting."

*¹⁰"What else do you want me to do, Taylor?"

*¹¹"It's not like I can just let my job go!"

*¹²"Work, always work. Am I the only one who will always adjust? Am I just going to wait?"

*¹³"Taylor, can't you see? All this, I do for us too. But you don't understand."

*¹⁴"You just don't understand what I'm saying."
∆ the direct translation to this phrase is, "you just don't understand me," but this is how it can be interpreted if said here in the Philippines.

*¹⁵"I need you!"

*¹⁶"What are you doing?"

*¹⁷"I'm leaving."

*¹⁸"I need space, I need to think. Because I can't do it anymore. It's always been like this, I'm always being hurt."

*¹⁹"Don't do this. We can fix this."
∆ the direct translation to "'wag ganto" is "not like this", but again, this is how it can be interpreted.

*²⁰"I don't know. I don't know if it/we can anymore. All I know,"

*²¹"Taylor, I didn't mean to hurt you, really."

*²²"No matter how intense your pressure is, that's not enough reason for you to ignore me."

for anyone wondering what a "Taglishera" is, that's a person (usually a girl) who mixes Tagalog with English when speaking. mekus-mekus baga
