do y'all like when I incorporate Tagalog/Filipino into my imagines? 'cause I feel like not a lot of you here actually speak or understand the language. lmk, okay? because I love sharing our language/expressions/exclamations with more people despite not always being correct and having to go off my own interpretations and translations at times

"What is it like to sleep with a girl?"

You look at Taylor, tilting your head a bit. Your heart starts to race.

You've been hopelessly in love with your roommate ever since you two met up about five years ago — about the same time you came out a lesbian. But she's straight, and hasn't shown any feelings or even interest in even being with a girl, so the question she just asked was not on your 2024 bingo card.

It was hard being quarantined with her during COVID, but you managed.

"Y/N? Okay ka lang*¹?" she asks, tilting her head a bit and raising her eyebrows.

Your thoughts are a whirlwind, emotions caught between excitement and fear. You know Taylor isn't just asking out of curiosity. There's something in her voice, a tremor that suggests this is about more than just idle conversation.

"I'm fine," you manage to say, trying to keep your voice steady. "Ba't ka nagtatanong*²?"

Taylor shrugs, but you can see the tension in her shoulders. "Nag-iisip lang*³ . . . about exploring. You know?"

You nod, heart pounding. "Yeah, I know."

Taylor shifts closer to you on the couch, her eyes searching yours. "So . . . What's it like?"

You take a deep breath, feeling the weight of the moment. "It's different for everyone, I guess. But for me, it's . . . intimate. Emotional. It's about connection, trust. It feels . . . right."

Taylor's eyes flicker with something you can't quite read. She bites her lip, a nervous habit you've come to recognise over the years. "Do you think . . . Do you think magugustohan ko*⁴?"

The room feels suddenly smaller, the air charged with possibilities. "'Di 'ko sure*⁵," you say honestly. "But I think it depends on who you're with. It's not just about the physical stuff. It's about how you feel with that person."

Taylor nods slowly, absorbing your words. "Would you . . . Would you be willing to show me? What it's like, I mean?"

Your breath catches in your throat. This is the moment you've dreamed of and dreaded in equal measure. "Sure ka ba*⁶?" you ask, needing to be certain.

She takes your hand, her touch sending a jolt of electricity through you. "I'm sure," she whispers.

You lean in, heart racing, and press your lips to hers, soft and tentative at first. She responds, her kiss growing more confident, more assured.

The night wears on, fading into a blur of whispered confessions and quiet moans.

The next morning, you wake up with her wrapped in your arms, naked, hair disheveled, legs tangled together. The sunlight filters through the curtains, casting a warm glow on Taylor's peaceful face. You watch her for a moment, hardly daring to believe that this isn't just another dream.

As she stirs, her eyes flutter open, and she gives you a sleepy smile. "Morning," she murmurs, her voice husky with sleep.

"Morning," you reply, feeling a rush of affection. "How are you feeling?"

Taylor stretches, her hand tracing lazy patterns on your arm. "Good," she says softly. "Better than good, actually. I feel . . . different. In a good way."

You smile, relief flooding through you. "I'm glad."

She props herself up on one elbow, looking at you with a seriousness that makes your heart skip a beat. "Kagabi*⁷ . . . It wasn't just an experiment for me. I think I've been denying a part of myself for a long time."

You reach up to brush a strand of hair from her face. "I've always been here for you, Taylor. No matter what."

Since it's a Saturday, you two spend the day hanging out, binging cheesy romcoms, baking. She even ends up asking to cuddle. Multiple times.

That night, she asks to sleep in your bed, and you happily agree.

This routine continues on for two weeks, and the lines between friendship and romance blur even further. You find yourselves sharing more than just physical intimacy — you talk about your fears, dreams, and everything in between. Taylor seems happier, more relaxed, and you can't help but hope that this might be the start of something real, but you're also incredibly unsure.

What if this is just a phase?

What if she's just using you to get over a guy?

So after two weeks of this uncertainty, you start to distance yourself. You start avoiding her, even at home. You stop agreeing to cuddle, stop simply talking to her. She notices the change immediately, her brow furrowing in confusion and hurt.

"Hey," she says one evening, cornering you in the kitchen. "Can we talk?"

You sigh, avoiding her eyes. "Sure. What’s up?"

"Why have you been so cold to me lately? Did I do something wrong?" Taylor's voice wavers, and it breaks your heart to see her so vulnerable.

You take a deep breath, finally meeting her gaze. "No, it's not that. It's just... I need to know where we stand. Do you really like me, Taylor? Or am I just an experiment for you?"

Her eyes widen in surprise, and she shakes her head vigorously. "Tangina, p'ano ka nakapasa sa college*⁸? Of course I like you! Fuck, I love you!"

The words hang in the air between you, and for a moment, you're speechless. Then, with a rush of relief and joy, you pull her into a tight embrace.

"I'm sorry," you whisper into her hair. "I just . . . I was scared. I didn't want to get hurt."

Taylor pulls back slightly, looking into your eyes. "I get it. But please, don’t shut me out. I meant what I said. I love you."

You smile, feeling a warmth spread through you. "I love you too."

*¹"Are you okay?"
*²"Why are you asking?"
*³"Just thinking . . ."
*⁴"I'd like it?"
*⁵"I'm not sure."
*⁶"Are you sure?"
*⁷"Last night . . ."
*⁸"Fuck, how did you get into college?"
