The first time it happens, it's innocent. Completely innocent.

Taylor is lying across the couch, one leg draped over your lap, her face buried in a throw pillow. She's been in rehearsals for hours, days, weeks, and her feet are paying the price. The moment you suggested a foot rub, she made a noise that could only be described as sinful and practically threw herself into position.

You press your thumbs into the arch of her foot, feeling the tension there, and Taylor groans---loudly.

"Oh, my god," she breathes. "Right there. Harder, baby."

You huff a laugh but do as she asks, digging in a little more. She moans again, deep and throaty, her muscles twitching under your hands.

"Gentler---fuck, okay, no, go back to the first pressure."

You adjust, finding a rhythm, and Taylor melts completely. She exhales a long, shaky sigh, letting her head roll to the side, lips parted. "I've never had a partner rub my feet before," she murmurs. "I might actually be in love with you."

You chuckle, kneading along her heel. "Took a foot rub for you to figure that out?"

Taylor just hums, blissed out and half-asleep. The moment passes without another thought---until the internet gets ahold of it.

Because, unbeknownst to either of you, Taylor's phone was sitting on the coffee table. Recording.

The audio leaks overnight. There's no context, no lead-in, just Taylor's voice, breathy and wrecked, saying "Harder, baby." Then the moans. Then the desperate "Gentler---fuck, okay, no, go back to the first pressure."

The internet erupts.

The clip goes viral in hours. Articles speculate, fans theorize, and your name starts trending alongside hers.

Then someone finds the full version.

@thisisvertrying: OH MY GOD STAND DOWN. FALSE ALARM. SHE WAS GETTING A FOOT RUB. A FUCKING FOOT RUB.

The chaos doubles.

@downbadABI: The fact that Taylor moans like that over a foot rub???? God help Y/N.

@tayy/nlover: I'm sorry but if she sounds like that when getting her feet rubbed, imagine her in bed.

You show Taylor the tweets, and she chokes on her drink. "Are you kidding?" she laughs, but her ears turn bright red. "This is what they lost their minds over?"

You raise an eyebrow. "You did make it sound kind of obscene."

Taylor groans, burying her face in your shoulder. "I hate everyone." But her shoulders shake with laughter, and later that night, she sends out a tweet.

It takes weeks for the discourse to die down. Eventually, the internet moves on.
