"Yes, we did. It was bad too. We lost a lot of lives, countless, but we won," Fitz raised an eyebrow. "Did you fight at all?"

I narrowed my eyes at the cocky boy. His name was almost a cracker brand and he was judging me. Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure there is a soda named 'Fitz' or something. Hilarious.

Making sure my body posture shows that I am not about to snap, I smile slowly, deadly. "No. I didn't fight in your wars, but believe me, I have seen my fair share of things."

Fitz scoffed, "Coward."

And that, folks, is where I almost lost it. Something shattered in the distance and the sound of rushing water stopped me. I took a deep breath. Stepped forward and the Ritz boy took a step back.

"Listen, Ritz---" I started. Sophie chuckled.

"Fitz."

"---I don't care. You don't know me. You don't know what I've been through, so don't go judging me. Judge later," I said. The tension in the room was palpable. No one was talking, only staring at me in shock. "That should be a quote. 'Judge later.'"

Some chuckle. Not everyone can be a stand-up comedy person, I guess.

"Alright, then. Where are we playing the 'base quest thingy'?"

"How 'bout now!" Keefe exclaimed and bolted out the door. The group chuckled and followed him, running.

"Listen here, you harm a hair on any of their head, you will be dead before you know it," said Fitz. I had been just about to follow and didn't even realize that he had stayed behind.

"Man, I don't know what your problem is, but I'm not going to hurt them. Why would I?" Fitz stepped up in my face. But he was shorter than me and I chuckled. "Are we gonna play the game, or are we gonna sit here all day and have you insult me?"

He eyed me warily. "Fine." Then he sashayed out of the house like a real queen.

Then I followed while praying to every single god that I could think of so that we could have a peaceful time playing this weird game of capture the flag that sounded like it belonged in the role-playing game of Dungeons and Dragons or whatever.

"Alright, dudes. Here's the plan... actually, I don't have a plan," Keefe said as the girls and guys separated themselves and headed in opposite directions. So this is a strategic game, I thought, and then added in my head, that Annabeth would love it.

"I have an idea," I said and raised my hand. "There's a little waterfall nearby---"

"How do you know that?" Fitz asked. Gods, this dude is really suspicious. If he wanted to be Sherlock Holmes and solve me like I'm a mystery, he might just need a therapist.

"Bro. He's hydrokinetic," Keefe said and raised an eyebrow. Then leaned over and stage whispered to me: "He's always really suspicious. He's an actual Dr. Suspicious."

I snort.

"Anyway, we can go look for the waterfall, figure out the rest of the plan, then we can start. Or we can just wing it," I said.

"'Wing it'?" Keefe questioned.

"Yes. Something that seems to happen a lot in my life," I replied.

Fitz scoffed and led the way to the waterfall. The pull of the water was refreshing and it seemed like it was just yesterday that I was walking along a beach. Oh wait, I was. I think.

The sound of rushing water filled my ears. We stepped out from under the canopy of trees. And my jaw dropped. The water was rushing from a very high cliff into a lake that was crystal clear. The stones that surrounded the lake and were in it were shimmering, multi-colored beauties. The mist from the end of the waterfall was creating a very large rainbow.

All in all, this was one of the most enchanting places I've seen. In this elf land at least.

In the middle of the lake, I noticed, was a small island for three people to stand on. That was a perfect base. They would have to swim to even get close to the base, or do the weird levitating thing that they do. Then I would have perfect control of the water, we would tag them, and they would lose. But then I remembered that they had an actual hydrokinetic or whatever it was on their team. How much control did she have over the water? Could my powers counteract hers?

We'll find out.

"All right, that's our base," I said.

"The little island. In the middle of the water?" Said Fitz. He pulled out a map of his property and handed it to me. Where did he get that?

"Yep," I popped the 'P'. What did he not understand about what I just said? I thought it was Pretty simple. "Keefe, you'll be searching for their base. It could be anywhere. But you can read emotions, yeah?"

He looked shocked.

"How did you know?" He asked, his body frozen and mouth hanging wide open.

"Random guess," I shrugged. "Anyway, Fitz, you'll also be searching for their base, but on a different side. But what's going to happen is... Keefe, you are going to make sure one of the other team members sees you. If you're close to their base, they'll be feeling panic, and a strong need to tag you. If not, you'll try to get to the other side to help Fitz. And Fitz, you'll stay hidden. If one of them sees you, use your levitating thing. Also, what can you do?"

"Telepath," he stated dryly.

"Great, can you, like, talk in mine and Keefe's heads?"

"Yes."

"Do that. Keep track of the other team's positions and notify me."

"And what will you do?" Keefe asked. I raised a brow. i kinda thought that it would be obvious what my job was, but I guess not.

"I'm the defense," I replied.

Fitz scoffed. "Lihn is the best hydrokinetic ever. You won't be able to beat her even if you really tried. I'll stay back and help you."

"No. We stick to the plan," My gaze locked onto his. He narrowed his eyes at me and opened his mouth to say something.

"Guys, Sophie is counting down. Three, two, one... GO!"

A/N.     LITERALLY SLAY. We just won a basketball game by eleven points (not a lot) against one of our biggest rivals or whatever. It was pretty cool.

This is kind of an apology for not updating for a while. Super sorry about that, but you know why. ;)
