Sophie hoped Perc and Annabeth knew what they were doing as the darkness encased her body. She dimly felt Keefe's hand reach out and brush her knuckles before feeling him wrap his rough and calloused fingers around her.

The darkness spit them out in tunnel. Sophie crashed against the cold, stone floor. She looked up. Percy had his arms around Annabeth as they fell, letting him take the blunt of the fall.

Annabeth sat up. "Oh gods," she whispered. Sophie thought she heard a hint of fear in her mind. "Percy? Percy where are you?"

"I'm right here, Wise Girl. It's okay. I'm not leaving you, you're stuck with me," he whispered gently.

Sophie reached out to Keefe and checked him for injuries.

A cackling sound echoed around the tunnels. Fear coated Sophie's veins.

"We need to run," Percy said as Annabeth pulled him to his feet. "Annabeth, take the rear."

The four took off running, following Percy as he lead them through the tunnels.

"What's the plan to get out of here?" Keefe panted as they ran.

"Get out of here?" Annabeth asked, incredulous. "Oh, honey, Percy's taking us to the heart of the mountain."

"Oh, demigods?" Nyx taunting voice called out.

They were currently crawling through a really tight space.

"Why do I get the feeling you've done this before," Keefe asked Annabeth.

"Probably cause we have," Annabeth answered simply. She looked up at Percy, who was helping Sophie out of the small tunnel.

Sophie wasn't shocked to hear that they've done this before. It was obvious that they've been through some things, maybe even more than her. They were demigods, and if the myths were correct, they did a lot of things for the gods. And the gods demanded a lot.

As Sophie was finally out of the claustrophobia causing tunnel, she surveyed her surroundings. It was a circular cave, and along the walls were different types of crystal. Sophie had heard about this cave in her studies at Foxfire.

But something was off. Some of the crystal were dimmer than other, and she could faintly see shadows swirling inside them, destroying their lightness.

The circular room was separated from the middle by a large, circular chasm. A raggedy bridge connected the outside and the middle. On the island in the middle was a large, dimly glowing crystal. It's light pulsed lightly, but was quickly put out by darkness.

"Where are you, you little brats?" Hissed Nyx far away voice.

"Sophie," Keefe said. "One of your new powers, flasher, you can destroy the light right?"

"I-I don't know Keefe," she admitted. Her being a flasher was practically brand new, only surfacing during the war. She had taken out a small portion of the Neverseen's brainwashed army.

"You have to try," said Annabeth. "If you don't we could die."

"Well that certainly reassuring," Keefe joked weakly.

Sophie walked towards the bridge and stepped onto it. It creaked and Sophie gulped. She crossed it slowly, wanted to jump and scream in joy when she reached the other side.

"Percy and I will protect you Sophie, at least until you are finished, then we'll need your help," Annabeth said as she unsheathed her dagger. Percy uncapped his pen, which formed into a three foot long, glowing sword.

Nyx was getting closer. Her taunting grew louder as she neared the group.

Sophie turned and pressed her palms flat against the crystal. She squeezed her eyes tight and willed light to flow through her. She felt the energy pulsing through her. But it wouldn't come through. She faintly heard the sounds of fighting and it slowly broke her concentration.

Then, she felt a hand against her shoulder, raising her energy. The light in her broke through whatever barrier was placed in her, and then surged into the crystal.

"NO!" She heard Nyx scream. "NO!"

Sophie cracked open an eye and watched as the light that was pouring from her hands fought the darkness in the crystal. And it quickly over powered it.

Sophie jumped in joy. "Yes!" She screamed.

She watched as the light swirled around the gave entering each crystal and demolishing the darkness.

Nyx screamed in agony.

Sophie ran across the bridge, her palms blaring light. Keefe followed her closely, keeping a hand on her to make sure her power was stronger, better.

And then she hit Nyx with a blast of light. The goddess tried to stop it, blocking it with her darkness, but she was growing weaker and weaker every time Sophie shot her with a blast of light.

"I will come back!" Nyx screamed. Her skin was starting to glow as the light hit her, she started burning up.

"LOOK AWAY!" Percy yelled, turning away quickly.

Sophie opened her eyes. She was back at Havenfield, and she couldn't recall a single thing that happened the past few weeks. A burning headache hit her.

Flashed of a boy with green eyes and a girl with curly blonde hair hit her. Who were they?

Sophie found that the harder she thought about it, the worse her headache got. So she stopped thinking about it completely.

Meanwhile, Percy was currently getting hit by a flip flop. His mother was very angry that he disappeared on her... Again.

A/N.     AND WE ARE DONE!!! Sorry for the ending, it was kind of... impromptu. Initially, I planned on this story only being 20 chapters, but I seemed to have gotten carried away.

Anyway, if you're looking for more Percy Jackson fanfics, check out some more of mine!

I'm planning on making a Percy Jackson high school AU, but I want to know if you guys want it to be cliche or... different.

Or different with bits of cliche ness? Or cliche with bits of difference?

Let me know!

Thank you for all of your support throughout this book if you stuck around!
