hi again

i really wanted to write this

hyperventilating, kindof panic attack, sam...

rapid pov changes with no warning <3

~

It was just a prank.

It was meant to just be a prank.

Doc & Ren swear.

They didn't expect.. this.

...

Darkness encloses Grian, suffocating him, like the rushing waves of panic engulfing his chest. He's back at the school on halloween, watching Sam as his knife flashes dangerously in the moonlight before entering Taurtis.

He's in the corner of a classroom, yelling that he's Taurtis & staring into Sam's lifeless eyes.

He's holding the dying body of his best friend, his lover..

Realizing what a mistake he'd made. Blood coated his hands. It was everywhere, like the dangerous fire that lit up the night.

' DON'T LEAVE ME TAURTIS! IT'LL BE OK! PLEASE!'

..

Sam watched Grian run to the bus. He chased, trying, pleading for the avian to stay.

It's no use.

He can't turn back time. He can't fix anything.

He tried, though. He begged. He said words he should've said oh-so-long ago.

But it was too late,

The fragle line they'd walked had shattered.

...

Doc & Ren had no idea what to do, what with the rabbits everywhere and Grian having a panic attack in the corner. Doc finally gets a thought through, a braincell working, and frantically messaged Mumbo.

He could help the avian, right?

...

Grian kept flashing into the present & then into the past.

Mumbo had his arm around Grian, trying to calm him.

It wasn't working

Grian wanted Taurtis. He knows his breathing is too fast, in the future-present. No matter. He hugged himself, blood coating his arm. Grian had slipped up in acting. He didn't know how.

He thought he had the rules figured out, down to a T.

Yet, it wasn't the bleeding, or the stinging pain, or the scars.

Grian. Wanted. Taurtis. Back.

...

Other hermits had come. Ren had summoned X, who in turn summoned Stress, who decided Scar could help. Scar decided everyone could help.

Doc was trying to explain it. It had gone so, so wrong. The creeper was on the verge of tears.

...

Images were flashing, too fast in Grian's head.

He's holding Taurtis' dead body, surronded by a destroyed bus & flames.

He's curled up in a classroom, then a bed, clutching whatever limb Sam had chosen to destroy, as it stained everything bright red.

He's running to the bus, hearing the pleading words of  Sam.

He's in Evo, trying to move on.

He's jumping through the end portal, watching purple flames rise up just like that night & surrond them.

He watches his new family die as the Watchers drag him along.

He's begging to be set free...

The present comes back into glimpse, just for a second. Just for a second, Grian can see the others surronding him, everyone panicked.

Then he's thrust back into his hell-hole of a mind.

...

Sam ran as fast as he could. He'd never catch up with the bus, but that wasn't the point.

Grian was almost gone.

No.

No.

NO.

DON'T LEAVE ME LIKE THIS.

Sam screamed into the heavens, tears flooding his eyes as he raced after the retreating form.

...

Sam never should've pushed.

He broke the fragile line they balanced on.

...

The future is still glitching in & out. Grian still can't breathe. His lungs try to scream, but their overpowered by his mental turmoil. He can feel Mumbo besides him, and Scar too. Their hugging him, clutching him.

Like he'd leave.

The past stops forcing it's way through. Vaguely, Grian is aware of his vision getting fuzzy. He can hear the voices of concerned hermits as they shout at someone for something.

He falls into sleep.

...

"DOC! WHAT THE HELL?"

Mumbo yelled, still hugging Grian's now-sleeping body.

" he was panicking! He wouldn't stop! Sleeping potion!"

Doc exclaimed, admantly moving his hands rapidly too. Mumbo glared at him & looked to X, who simply shrugged.

" It worked, didn't it?"

With that, Mumbo sighed and Xisuma started ordering everyone to help cleanup the rabbits & transport Grian to his bed. Surpisingly, the small hermit was quite heavy. Probably because of his wings. Yeah, that makes sense.

The hermits resolved to talk to Grian about this when he woke up.

Ask why he'd reacted this way.

Afterall, he never seemed so... Haunted.

~

Well that was rather short

oh well

it's ok.
