Grian stood on the cliff, grinning wildly. His red robe flowed in the harsh winds, staff glowing with power. Magic weaves its way in circles around him, as he summons something different.

You see, Grian is a time traveler- it is destiny, it is fate, it is his nature to move through worlds and time periods- universes and timelines. He explores and learns, adding onto his growing memory of experiences- harsh like the seas or soft like marshmallow fluff. Eitherway, he takes the lesson on to the future- the present, the past, or wherever he might end up.

So, now, he prepares to make that leap once more- exit the universe to join a new one, rebirth as a different being. Only Jeb knows where Grian will land, but that's the fun of it!

The magic is swelling now; strands from thousands of different timelines joining together in a swirling mass of thousands of bright colors. He can pick out a few memorable colors, but other than that, it's ready.

With a deep breath, Grian jumps in.

The void is a welcoming place- the only true gateway between times and universes. It's helpful and often slightly crowded with others like him- that dance through time or simply manipulate the code to reach this certain area. Unlike many might think, with its dark look and cold appearance, it was more homey- comforting, like a grandparent's house or a childhood memory.

Today, the magic is very pushy about his next location- shoving him into a bluish portal that has a hightech vibe. Grian's spit out the other side on a bus, with a text from his apparent guardian telling him to 'have fun in Japan with the boys!'

Interesting.

Grian stumbles forward this time, hitting a concrete wall with his back. Jesus christ, that was dramatic. He can hear the footsteps of Sam, which was slightly terrifying, but his time here was over anyway. The void was calling, after all.

Repeating the same familiar magical calls, Grian reflects- this was probably the roughest universe he'd crashed into, and he knew that the shining of a sharp knife and halloween would probably haunt him for a good while.

It'd be fine- Grian wasn't leaving behind helpless orphans; everyone at this wretched school could fight- and well, if they put their mind to it. Despite this, it's saddening that someone as sadistic as Sam could exist. Grian hopes all the victims can heal in their lifetimes.

With that, his portal opens. Grian leaps through, crashing instantly into a new world.

There's a large sign.

'EVO'

While YHS might've been difficult, EVO was easy. Everywhere, potent magic bloomed and grew- thousands of purple shades that mix and meddle, curling in on itself like a snake. Each left its own unique trail, guiding the Evolutionists through forest, sand, mud and dune to find the desired object or landmark.

Throughout this, Grian could feel a clock- ticking away, counting his minutes here. It was an impending feel, strange but not entirely unfamiliar from the void. It's when the clock hit 0 that there was to be concern.

This was just a strange way of traveling, Grian told himself. He had to return to the void at some point. He was a time traveler.

It's just saddening that the others have to suffer. So, standing with the Watchers, Grian tries his best to make them feel better- although they never will, although Grian always knew he'd leave.

"It's my responsibility!"

So, he crashed through another void, following the Watchers forward. Interestingly enough, they didn't seem to live outside the universe- opting for a strange outer planet. Out here, it was dry and humid- but the magic of all the timelines seemed to flow strongest.

Multicolor bands constantly spotted the island, covering it with a magnetic energy that practically glowed. Grian spent time fine-tuning his magic and memories, researching his old journals. Each universe got one of its own, so Grian couldn't truly forget- after all, he'd been doing this for millennial. It was bound to happen.

It was a nice break, until the void called again. Down he goes!

This place was different. From the moment Grian landed, he knew something had changed.

That feeling only grew.

The hastily made welcome sign greeted Grian with a slight bearing to the universe, and then the kind personalities trapped him. That was an issue, see, because Grian innately can't stay anywhere.

He's a time traveler.

...

Whatif he doesn't want to travel away from here?

He knows he should be ready, prepared for the Void's call. It's like a minute by minute anxiety, a constant 'oh-no' in his head. No one notices, as Grian is an expert at concealing his excellent capabilities.

For 2 straight seasons this continues, until Season 8. Not only does Pearl join ( and she remembers him, too-) but Boatem rises. Particularly, the Boatem Pole. Grian's first look at the void in ages.

It's slightly scary, when it does call him- although it's less pushy. More... gentle. Careful, like it's trying not to concern Grian. So, he follows the void, waiting to feel the familiar strands of the universe before it interrupts him.

"You havᒷ ᓭerved weꖎl, t∷ᔑ⍊ᒷꖎᒷ∷."

What?

"it is t╎me to rᒷst, no∴. Thiᓭ is t⍑ᒷ uni⍊erse ||ou are dest╎ned fo∷. It wᔑs alwᔑys fo∷etoꖎd."

Grian blinked for a second. The urgency faded and he could feel the Void wish him well, its magical connection disappearing from reach. Magic still tingled at his fingertips, but it was docile- less urgent, calmer. He was left thrilled, confused and slightly scared.

But, if a Time Traveler can adopt to thousands of realties, would one be that hard?
