SOME SILLY SCARIAN THINGS
ALSO BECAUSE I WANTED TO
FLUFF!!! YAY!!
~
Scar was starting to regret his decisions.
Currently, he was on an extremely unstable scooter that had clearly belonged to Grian for far too long. It was too dangerous, even for Scar. The pair zoomed by, the blue scooter struggling abit over cobble roads. They were in the pastel district, infamous for perfect first dates.
Scar couldn't take his eyes off Grian, who seemed very confident & in his element as the ornate, rainbow houses zoomed by. The elf had really been enjoying England. Of course, he still dearly cherishes America. Afterall, you really couldn't get good soda here. What was with that??
As they continue their drive through town, Scar reflects on how he'd met Grian. He'd been on a trip, deciding if he'd like to move. America- it wasn't... it was getting increasingly hard to stay afloat, especially with Scar's hospital bills.
The man had been out at a cafe with one of his friends, Cub, when he'd heard an extremely enchanting accent. Yeah, Scar had fallen faster than this extremely rickety scooter was going.
The scooter pulls to a stop, and Grian helps Scar off. They'd made it to the marketplace, and both start slowly walking down the pastel road, hand-in-hand. It always made Scar grin silly, just being around such a wonderful person.
They started checking out small shops, with Grian animatedly waved his wings around whilst excitedly explaining why it was 'just amazing' that he'd managed to find this small, gem-made goat figure after seeing it like, five years ago.
Scar just watched fondly, grinning like an idiot. Grian decided to purchase the figure (and two others), and walked triumphantly outside. The two kept walking, chatting about anything, really. They came to a stop infront of a TV store, which had the steriotypical TVS playing the news. It was about a new book just released, ' Fancy '
" Sounds like a good book! Wonder why it's called that, though."
Grian seemed to be holding back laughter. This perplexed Scar, what had he done?
" Perhaps it's about rich nobles? Maybe they're eating dinner with a king! "
Grian's hold breaks and he bursts out laughing. Scar goes red in the face, still very confused.
" Mate, in England, Fancy is a term for ... ah, what do you Americans call it? crushes?"
Somehow, Scar gets redder, before some thought forms in his head and he smirks.
" Well, Grian, do you fancy me?"
The avian playfully rolled his eyes.
" Yes, darling, I fancy you"
They keep walking, finding a nice cafe to stop at. Scar gets a chocolate croissant & some Passion Flower Tea, whilst Grian simply got black coffee.
Black. Coffee.
How is he British??
Anyway, Scar proceeds to tease Grian about this fact for the next twenty minutes as they talk. The chocolate croissant is filled with melted chocolate, which somehow gets all over Scar.
After paying, the two walk out and end up on the shore-side of the pastel city. Night was beginning to fall, bringing with it a cool breeze. The cold nipped at Scar, but he didn't mind. Currently, he was helping Grian build up a sand castle. The blue ocean waves, darkened by the rising moon, lap at the twos feet as they eventually end up sitting & watching the sunset.
Grian started to lean heavily on Scar, who shook him awake lightly. It was 9, which meant they had 30 minutes to get out to this large field in which all the hermits were meeting up. The avian grumbled something and stood up with the help of Scar, and the two set off back on their original path.
~
The scooter stopped at the field, which was sparkling with dew from the morning. You could see fire flickering in the center, marking where the hermits had decided to settle. Grian silently challenged Scar to a race, taking off at speeds an extremely short bird should not be able to go at.
The two end up tripping over eachother and tumbling down a hill, right into the Hermit's temporary camp. Oh, did they get teased for that one.
Night had officially fallen, and, being so far away from the main city, you could see every single star that lit up the night sky. Scar loved tracing constellations with Grian, chuckling when he furrowed his brow & attempted to find a tiny pinpoint in the sea of twinkling lights, and aiding him in finding the whole design.
As it got darker, the Hermits moved closer and started some-sort of campfire.. ritual?
The crackle of the flames whilst marshmallows burned was a comforting sound, calming background noise to the silly & wild stories being told. Grian was, once again, leaning completely on Scar. He looked like he'd fall asleep at any second. The tales shifted to truth-or-dare, which Grian half-woke up for.
Scar yelled 'DARE' into the darkness, puffing up his chest as Cub looked.. looked like he was about to blow something up.
" I noticed you've been on a date, yes?"
Scar nodded, hesitant. What was Cub planning? On a sidenote, Grian had gone back to almost-sleeping and was lying heavily on Scar's shoulder.
" Why don't we finish it off, well?"
Scar frowned. He didn't know where this was going.
" I dare you to.... Kiss Grian."
Scar went red in the face. The other hermits giggled, and Grian opened his eyes at the sound of his name. The avian looked around, growing confused at everyone staring at them. Cub was grinning maliciously.
" i.. uhm..."
Grian raised an eyebrow, sitting up.
" cubdaredmetokissyousocani"
Scar could feel his face heat up as Grian flushed.
" ...... yes "
Scar leaned forward, pulling Grian closer and pressing their lips together.
(i.. i'm gonna stick to the gore & murder)
~
All in all, Scar thinks that maybe, just maybe, this move was the best thing he ever could've done
