Mandy’s POV
I sat in the living room with Alisha and the rest of the girls making little gift bags for the wedding, instead of getting married in October we would be saying our I Do’s in May which meant the wedding was less than 3 weeks away.
I wasn’t too sure that we were going to get this all taken care of by then, but Alisha was sure of it. She had completely agreed that it was the best thing to do. I just couldn’t shake the feeling that something was still up with Brian and I needed to talk to him, but it would have to wait until after the wedding. Right now wasn’t the time; I had to focus on my future with Carey. He was the most important thing to me right now.
“So I can’t believe I am still going to be pregnant at your wedding Mands! I was hoping to have enough time to lose my baby fat by the time you got married.” Leana laughed.
“You look amazing Leana. You have nothing to worry about.” I smiled.
We were all laughing and having fun, when the doorbell rang.
Alisha got up quickly watching me with caution. “Okay. Don’t be mad, but I kind of invited Jessica over to hang out today, and she has connections with dresses so please please don’t be mad.”
I shook my head. “Fine let her in. But remember you owe me big time for this Alisha!”
She smiled and opened the door. Jessica walked in with a few other girls who pulled in about 4 different racks of dresses. 2 were bridesmaids dresses and 2 were wedding dresses. She walked over to me.
“I know this wedding is rushed so I thought I would try to help out if that’s okay with you?” She smiled.
I nodded and smiled. She started talking to the other girls explaining the types of dresses and other stuff. I walked over to Alisha and pulled her away from everyone.
“I really wanted to hate her.” I said quietly.
She shook her head “Come on let’s go find you a dress.”
I walked back over to wear Jessica was standing.
“Alisha told me that your favorite color was green, so I pulled all the different green dresses we could find for the bridesmaids and they all can be ready for 10 girls at the most in 2 weeks.”
I was kind of surprised at how quickly things could get done. “Wow, Uhh. That sounds great Jessica. Thanks.”
She smiled. “Oh. We are not done just yet. I had these two racks pulled out, this rack is all Vera Wang and the other is about 3 different designers. I know that when Alisha got married she used Vera and I thought maybe you would be interested too. I know I may seem like I am inviting myself and I am sorry for that, but I am new to your group and I just want to help and fit in.”
“I know and you are not inviting yourself, it’s just weird sometimes you know?” She shook her head.
“What do you mean weird?” I looked at her confused.
“My history with Brian?” She looked really confused.
“I don’t know what you mean? You and Brian are like best friends right?” She asked.
I stood there quietly. After everything that had happened, I imagined that he would have told her that we were together, or she would have put two and two together by now.
“Mandy?”
“I don’t know what to say, I thought that you knew already.”
“Just spit it out Mandy. Know what?”
