Mandy’s POV

I walked outside to see Carey at the door. I didn’t want to be rude, but the one I wanted to really talk to was Brian and he was waiting outside for me.

“Mandy, can we talk?” I shook my head at Carey.

“I’m sorry Care, I’m actually in a hurry. Everyone is inside though. We can talk later, I promise.” I didn’t give him enough time to respond, I simply smiled and walked over to Brian who was waiting for me along side Matt.

I gave Matt a quick hug and got in the car.

We drove in silence for a while, just listening to the radio with Don’t Go Away Mad, Girl Just Go Away by Motley Crue playing.

The weather was now cloudy and dark, I knew it was gonna rain soon, but we kept driving until we pulled up to a little park that had a stream going a long side it.

Right away I knew why he brought me here, it was the same park we had shared our first kiss.

He led me to the swing sets and we sat down, still in silence.

I guess neither of us knew the right words to say, in a way we had both messed up our relationships, even if I would never admit to that.

Tal’s POV

When Matt finally came back inside I noticed he was a little side tracked. I didn’t think that it had anything to do with me and Mandy anymore because we had all talked it out, but then I saw Carey walk in behind him.

Alisha jumped up. “Care! What are you doing here?!” She went and hugged him as did every other one of the girls in the room except for Val who was looking worriedly at Matt.

He smiled at her and sat down while Alisha handed Baby Robin over to Carey.

“I just came to check on things while I was in town.”

She laughed. “You live here where else would you have to be?”

“Actually Ali, I moved to Arizona last month.” She looked at him questioningly, but I was no longer interested to hear his answer.

I walked over to Matt and gestured for him to follow me out back.

When we got outside, he sat down and pulled out his cigarettes.

“Matt is everything alright with me and you?” He looked at me weird, so I continued. “I mean ever since the thing with Mandy.”

He nodded understandingly. “Everything’s fine man, don’t worry about it. Mandy has a lot to figure out right now between Brian, Carey and you, so I think she just needs time.”

I sat down next to him and sighed. “Yeah that’s what I’m worried about.”

“What was that?”

“That’s what I’m worried about. Honestly Matt do you think she would go back to Brian?”

“You know Tal, they have been together for a long time and have had many rough patches. I think that if they talk things out they will be fine, because true love like that is hard to find these days. That’s exactly why I am hoping that Alisha and Joel are able to fix what they had. Not only for themselves, but for the baby.”

I just sat there. I couldn’t find the words that would help me out of this situation. I knew in my heart that me and Mandy would never be together, that she would always love Brian, but that couldn’t stop me from hoping that things would turn out differently.

“I take it that’s not what you wanted to hear?”

I got up and told Matt. “I know, but I still love her.” I walked back inside and went straight up to the room I was staying in. I really didn’t like Carey, but not because he was in to Mandy, but because his return was the main reason that she was hurting right now and that her and Brian were having problems.
