Matt’s POV
“Maybe we should just go Ali. No one is answering.” I told Alisha after about the tenth ring of the doorbell.
“You have a key though don’t you?” I nodded. “Well let me see it.”
I shook my head. “I don’t think this is a good idea. You see no one is answering.”
“Matt, just give me the key.” I shook my head at her once again.
“No Alisha. Let’s just go. We have other things to deal with. Mandy and Brian fight all the time she goes to Tal and in the end it’s all ok. Just drop it.”
She sighed and walked to my car. “Fine. Let’s go to your house. I have some stuff to talk about with Val before the dress fitting, if we ever get there.”
“It’ll all work out. I’m just gonna drop you off. I have to go pick up all the guys for our tux fitting.”
“Oh. I was meaning to ask you, who all did you pick to be groomsmen?”
“Well, Joel is my best man, thank god you guys worked things out. Then Brian, Jimmy, Johnny, Zacky, Benji, Jason, and Tal.” She laughed.
“That’s a lot of people.”
“Yeah I know, but Val wanted 8 people, so that’s what we’re going with.”
“So I think things are gonna be kind of awkward at the ceremony.”
I looked over at her confused, she continued. “If I walk down the aisle with Joel, Brian has to with Mandy, but if she doesn’t want to that leaves her with Tal and Michelle walking with Brian.”
“Why do all over your guys’ relationships have to be complicated?” She laughed.
“Yours was to once upon a time.”
Brian’s POV
I walked back downstairs when I heard Val and Michelle leave. I felt like shit because I did this to Mandy again, but I was honestly getting tired of dealing with her running out on me and not wanting to fix things.
I called Jimmy to come over after Mandy wouldn’t answer my calls.
He walked in while I was making me a drink. “This early dude really? It’s not even 12 yet and we have tux fitting to go to in 20 minutes.”
“She walked out on me again Jimmy.” He sat down.
“I know Brian, but you can’t keep doing this, you guys are not helping each other, first you do something stupid with Michelle than her with Carey, you guys need to get off this roller coaster you call a relationship.”
“Honestly, what do you want me to do? I love her.”
“I know you love her, but she needs some security in this relationship because all you have proven is that you can fall back into Michelle’s tangle of lies and I think that she’s afraid you’ll go back to her.”
“I think I know what to do? Can you text Matt and tell him we’ll be a little late.”
“Where are we going?” I knew what I had to do and if this would show Mandy how much I loved her than it’s what I was going to do.
“Let’s just go, you’ll see when we get there.”
I hopped in my car and drove to a jewelry store in Huntingtion.
Mandy’s POV
I was getting dressed when Tal walked out of the bathroom. I felt so stupid. I felt ashamed, I kept thinking about Brian and all I wanted to do was cry. Tal sat next to me.
