Mandy’s POV

“Are you sure this is what you want?” Joel asked me.

“I don’t know, but I owe myself, Brian, and Carey this much.”

“Don’t you realize how much shit this is going to stir up? I mean if anyone finds out you are going to Arizona to see him.” He said.

I nodded. “I know Jo, but I want to be absolutely sure before I marry Brian.”

He sighed. “Okay. I’ll cover for you. Sarah is supposed to be flying back to Maryland, but I’m sure she won’t mind the detour. Carey knows you’re coming?”

“Yeah. I talked to him last night. I just told him I needed to get away after everything that’s been happening.”

“Okay. So what are you going to tell Bri?” He questioned.

I laughed sarcastically. “I doubt he will even notice I am gone.”

“Mands.” He looked at me sternly.

“Just that I am flying to Maryland with Sarah because someone is interested in buying the house.”

He nodded, agreeing that my story was believable enough and Brian couldn’t go with me anyway because Avenged was leaving on tour in a week and there was too much to do here in California.

The Next Day

“So do you want to tell me why you’re flying to Arizona alone or should I just go with my own ideas?” Sarah asked smiling.

“I just need to figure some things out.”

She laughed. “Okay, but I’ll cover for you anyway. Give me a call when you land.”

I nodded.

Both of our flights were leaving around the same time, so we said our goodbyes and I left to my terminal.

The flight felt like it was taking forever, I just wanted to be in Arizona, I hated flying and this was the very first time I was flying alone.

Matt’s POV

I pulled up to Brian’s house to meet up with him and the guys before we headed to the studio for the afternoon, I had to make sure that everything was going to turn out perfect for Val tonight.

“Hey Syn—“ I was cut off mid-sentence to see him making out with Michelle on the couch.

“Dude what the hell?” He jumped up quickly and put his shirt on.

“It’s not what it looks like.” He stuttered.

I rolled my eyes. “Are you seriously going to say that to me?” I looked at Michelle. “You should go.”

She didn’t budge.

“Michelle, just go before Mandy gets here and you make things a hell of a lot worse.”

“Mandy is in Maryland.” Brian said.

I didn’t have the energy to deal with any of this so I decided to leave.

“You know what, I’m just going to go. I’ll tell the guys we’ll just meet at the studio. Have fun.” I started to walk out the front door, “Oh and Brian I hope you know what you’re doing.”

I ended up at my house, well Val’s house, I knew that if I didn’t tell her about Brian and Michelle she would be pissed, especially if things were left a mess when she left for Italy.

I rang the doorbell and waited for her to come to the door.

“What are you doing here?” She asked surprised.
